Officer-only Telegrams

Postby Jiromania » Thu Jan 14, 2016 5:43 pm

Idea for those with samps or communications authority - I really would like to just send something to the officers of my region, excluding the general populace, so if you could include that as a "Group" in the "Special" category for region-wide telegrams, that'd be great. :)

You can send a telegram to up to 8 nations at a time. Your region only has 5 ROs. This seems unnecessary.

Or you could, I dunno, take the about 2 or 3 minutes it takes to send the telegrams to the at most 12 other people without stamps. I'd rather have our already busy techies doing something more essential then... this. Also, wrong forum, as pretty certain this belongs in Technical.

Would it be possible to create custom tags...say... Group Tags?

Lets say for instance I have a region where the government takes upon itself to have committees. These committees may or may not share certain individuals. If I'm sending out repeat telegrams repeatedly like this, then it can be a bit of a drain adding in all the appropriate names each time.

tag:group1 could be used instead. Where tag:group1 can get set to only send a tg to members inside group1 that could be defined in the regional settings under "communications" or just generally?

It would be...convenient as well as solve this problem.

Save the differing sets of names in a Word document, then copy-&-paste the relevant set into the TG address box as necessary?

That's currently the method I use... (okay, I lie, I use Kate but y'know same mountain different path). It works for me, but an integrated solution would just be easier *particularly* when I'm out and about and not using my main interface terminal.

Edit...

Or maybe someone could design an app for this...

Sorry, I just thought it might be an idea... Its a bit of a hassle to select every single nation to send to, as I didn't have them in my dossier. Also, apologies for the OP... When I read it over, it sounds a bit demanding :( . And the other posters are right - I'm sure you have better things to do with your time!
