Geopolity might be a good fit for you! We're more focused on nations as opposed to corporations, but it's not anything that we haven't had before. We also meet most of your criteria, being RMB-based roleplay with a modern earth map. Let us know if you're interested and/or if you have any questions on it.

How new, and how small? Warzone Trinidad is less then a year old. Lair of the Dragon is even newer, at like half that age, but is bigger overall.

We're looking for eager RPers. Not sure why it has to be a frontier region to help world build.

We have some established canon, but a lot of room for new lore, and we've got a relatively cozy membership at the moment. Check out more facts at Teremara. That is if you can be okay with us not being a frontier region. Also, I was assuming you meant in character regional politics. If you mean like a regional government, we don't really have a large organized one but we do have voting conducted through polls for major regional decisions.

id just go down the list in frontier tag and see what looks fun. if you can region build by all means have a crack at it helping a frontier i suppose. i would say you probably want to start on page 2.

regionbuilding =/= worldbuilding

regionbuilding is building a community up, not a world for lore which is *vastly* different.

I don't have any established lore for this nation; the flag is more or less a placeholder since it's just a flag I've had sitting in my computer's files. As a general idea, I'm thinking of a small nation (or even citystate) serving as a religious or trading center, or a large private army/private military company. However, fitting my "nation" to the setting/lore of the region will be my priority.

I haven't gotten into the RP scene on NS before, really, so a region that's open to a "newbie" would be nice too lol.

Well... my region, Aurora, has a roleplay set on a (badly) terraformed Mars in the 36th century CE, nearly 900 years after being abandoned by Earth, with a mixture of 18th-19th century technology and a few scraps of sci-fi archeotech. We're very much open to newbies (most of us are pretty much newbies to RP ourselves) and we don't have all that much collective lore yet, if that sounds like the kind of thing you're looking for you're welcome to have a look. Most of the RP has been Discord based so far though if that's an issue.

May I interest you in The Outer Rim? We are primarily focused on roleplay, specifically soft science fiction RP. Our main setting is in the 2300s, although it is very flexible and takes place across multiple centuries. From the low end, we've got an MT-PMT RP based on 2032 Earth and focused on the Second Space Race. On the high end, we've got the universe in the 3400s, where much of the local group is dominated by a few superpowers and dimensional gods are appearing. Really, any time between those two points is our speciality. We even include a galactic map! Our RP is generally medium-effort, but seeing as our roots are founded in very low-effort one-lining on II, you'll fit in just fine.
I believe you could fit nicely as either a corporation or a single-planet state during the early stages of our RP, or really anytime you see fit.
