While our main roleplay is not centered around past tech, your nation can certainly be past tech within the canon. We also have extensive government opportunities if you'd rather go the administrative route. There are opportunities to contribute new maps for the RP regardless, such as with space claims and miscellaneous earth maps.

I'm looking for region based around character rp. I'm generally open to any setting for character rp, but I'm interested in steampunk, pirate-themed, and sci fi.

The New West Indies would be a good fit for you. Our main RP focuses on post-modern tech world with a current heavy emphasis on space exploration. It’s also open to any kind of rp style, whether it be character- or nation-based.

The New West Indies would be a good fit.

For our RP, we have an earth map with custom territories. While most nations are post-modern at least (in the main canon), there's nothing precluding you from being a past- or modern-tech nation in a more futuristic world. Multiple roleplayers of ours operate in this nature.

Also, our RMB is definitely active! That's primarily where we roleplay, and there is socializing and regional politics there, as well.

Additionally, while there are a few limits on national statistics (especially with those related to warfare), it is generally not restrictive.

If you're interested in peaceful RP rather than wars -- sporting contests, nation-building, cultural festivals, and so on -- then you might find International Democratic Union a good fit.

TEREMARA ~
We're just a straight up, mostly MT/PMT, realistic, human-based region with a lot of vet NS players and some newer ones. We do some PT RP and are open to other techs. We have lots of space on the map and are flexible on shape and size. We have 2 continents currently, Madurin and Tavlyria. There are no mega-superpowers in our region. We also don't want puppets joining just to take up space and not do anything to contribute to the region. Yes, we're picky and our onboarding process does not move fast, so if that doesn't appeal to you...sorry.

We've gotten some recent additions and we are growing and working on our canon. Now's the time to get in on some quality world building and some cool RPs in development.
We'll take new players or old ones needing a new home, but you do need to be on your RP game or willing to learn. See our WFE or the application thread in my sig for more info. TG me if you have questions. Thanks.

Me and another nation started a very new region that fits the description. We just started it so there is not a set role-play date yet, but we do have a map. I don't know if you are looking for an Earth map or a fantasy one though.

I will consider. I will claim North West North America if I do come since the player already there is no longer in your region. I still want to see how my current region works out though. Its going fine now but the only problem I have is that its so new that there's only a handful of nations.

Our region, Pursonium, has all of that. We have a forum and a Discord server that you can join. We also have a few planets, so, yes, there are interplanetary maps, in a way.

While we don't have our forum set up yet, we do have a discord server. Additionally, we have our earth map and a list of space claims for our (post-modern tech) main roleplay.

Looking for a place to my sci-fi puppets in? Is there a good sci-fi (hard or soft, ftl or stl) role play region i can join, also without age caps? Additionally if there’s a steampunk role play region I would like to join that too.

Most of the regions here have serious RP. But I recommend you join my region, Pursonium. But it is entirely your choice to pick your region, though.

The region I am in, Lezra has an RP set in the 1800s. There are some limitations on army size and technology to keep it realistic. Sometimes there are activity problems though but we have a 2000+ pages RMB whit most stuff being RP related although we are a rather small and relatively young Region. We have our own regional map which gets updated frequently

You're going to have to be specific. There is no "best region" for roleplay, merely regions that more or less fit with what you seek. What kind of roleplay do you want? What time period should it be set in?

Novus Lucidum is a modern tech region with its own economic system based on our stats. This applies to all stats concerning resources or defense forces or even arms Manufacturing. There are also multi-national companies. Where two or more nations join together and make a company to produce new products such as weapons or medicine or food. I encourage you to check it out. Also we have a regional map.
