Some of you may know me as Bratislav (https://www.nationstates.net/nation=bratislav) I have done many years RPing, including founding the region of Atlas. After several years of hiatus, I am back, but with a new nation, Mavoria. I wanted to ask you for any recommendations for a new region to move into. I am looking for a region that is modern-time, modern-tech, reflects generally the current world (but not necessarily geographically)...no fantasy or future tech. Thank you in advance!!!

Apologies, I was not clear in this request. Given Christianity plays a big role in my nation's culture, I would want for the Abrahamic religions at least to exist in the region. Thank you.

Modern times, modern tech (Except for certain nations, say those that banned computers). Geographically, we have a completly different map from Earth.
RP is guided by states though not "bound" by it.

Abrahamic religions are present, we have two or three theocracies (depending on how you count)

We do all RP on the RMB.

I'm not sure about dieselpunk, but our region is steampunk, and not particularly strict. You may not get the aesthetic you are looking for, but the spirit is the same.

Roleplays in all regions seem to be set in some fantasy world with some sort of Sci-fi or magic stuff or whatever. Unfortunately I don't really thrive in those types of regions.

The New West Indies would be a good fit for you.

While our roleplay is primarily Post-Modern Tech region (set in the year 2141), many modern tech nations thrive here. Citizens earn a spot on our custom earth map, as well, and we strive for fun, real-world roleplay.

Since I just got invaded and destroyed in my previous region, (which I would rejoin if I had liked) and if you search RP in the world search tab, it comes up with regions either with a password and/or only 1-3 people in it.

So I have requested to join a solid, country rp. Preferably in the near or distant future but it is ok if not, I have participated in modern and past rps.

I think you'd find the New West Indies to be a good fit. Our RP is set in the year 2140, and our nations range (mostly) from modern-tech to post-modern. Most of our roleplay focuses on business, spacefaring, diplomacy, and politics, among other storylines.

You can also check out our Regional Map to see what open spots interest you.

Finally, if you want to go beyond roleplay, our region utilizes discord extensively (as many regions do) where you can socialize as much as you please. You can also participate in our General Assembly, which is the lawmaking body of the region. There are many ways to interact in the community, as you can see

Hey guys. I'm looking for a medieval fantasy region that is

• Involved in the WA
• Into casual or serious rp in the medieval fantasy setting with lots of freedom as to what we can do
• Possesses an active and reasonably transparent government that allows members to participate
• Contains an active community
• Has a discord

I'm new to the medieval fantast genre on NS but after playing a lot of DnD, I'd be really excited to participate in a region based on this genre. I'm an experienced member of the WA and have published environmental legislation that has (to my surprise) not yet been repealed and I would love to continue working in the WA in the next region I join. I've worked as a moderator and councilor (the equivalent of an administrator) in a post apoc roleplaying region, and was the Minister of Culture and a staff member in the WA delegation of TEP, so I have a fair amount of experience in government and administration. Thank you all for reading and I would greatly appreciate any recommendations or invitations to regions that would satisfy my preferences for a medieval fantasy region.

The New West Indies would be a good fit for you. While our RP is set in the year 2141, only some aspects of our roleplay is Post-Modern Tech (and certainly none of it is FT). Many Modern Tech nations find a home here.

We have a dedicated regional government, active core of roleplayers, active discord, and even a sports RP thread! I think you'd enjoy your time here.

It saddens me that the vast majority of role-playing on this website is done in contemporary settings, with no fantastical elements thrown in. Fantasy role-playing, and FT to a lesser extent, seems almost non-existent here. I certainly don't have the time or charisma to make my own.

I'm writing this with the intent of finding such a region, preferably one that is headed by skilled writers who more or less know what they're doing. The exact tech level doesn't bother me. Medieval, clockpunk, steampunk, even sci-fi; it doesn't matter. If the region has fantastical elements, and if they would allow a unique race, I would be content.

I'm sorry if I seem pushy. But if the person reading this knows of, or is related to, a Fantasy region, I would appreciate your reply. Thank you.

2. No less than 5-10 people but no bigger than 20-25.
3. Must have an Active community.
4. Must have an Earth map.

6. Again must be an active role play region.
7. Must have an opening in the American South.
8. And if there’s is a possibility of it being set in the time period of now (2019) or 2030. Or somewhere in between.
