Edit: I ask because I have another nation which I use to RP that's in a region that... isn't so good. So I'm considering all options.

Would love to roleplay King Carolus, as well as Peter the Great. In that time period, wasn't Germany divided and weak? Sure you got Prussian discipline, but Germany was still divided between Prussia and Big Brother Austria.

Despite having been here for nearly a year now, I really haven't interacted much with any region or community, so I'm still quite new to this side of the site.

I'm currently searching for a region to move to with the following characteristics:
- A fantasy setting, anywhere from medieval period to early 1900, but no modern or future technology: possibly some light steampunk.
- No fixed races or magical system: maybe it's an odd requirement, but I already have my creatures with their lore, and I would like to keep them.
- A somewhat active role-play scene. Despite being new to political RP, I'm interested in giving it a try.

If any of you could give me a hand or just an hint, that would be marvellous, thank you!

Victorian Era RP might be what you're looking for. It's a region roleplaying based on the events that happened from 1836 to 1935 like in the Computer game Victoria 2!

They're still setting up the Tech trees and rules and stuff, but you can head on over there and claim a nation.

Also, some form of democratic control by the community (not a regional government, just some way for people to steer the region outside the graces of a founder), although I know that's usually a big ask for these sorts of regions.

I know I probably won't find something with all of that, but that's why it's a wishlist. Just trying to get back into the game after a brief hiatus and hopefully join a cool community and make some cool stuff.

Our region isn't the perfect fit but it definitely ticks some of your boxes. To start we are an MT region equally focused on world-building and the role-playing element, to answer your points in the same order: a) we have an IIwiki although it isn't the most up to date resource; b) As far as I know language and culture haven't been discussed in great depth at the moment but we all enjoy every aspect of the world-building process so i'm sure we would be happy to accommodate c) MAPS! this is for sure our strong point, we have both a topographic map and a climate map, in fact we have lots of maps and it is sometimes our greatest draw. d) never seen any systems rejected yet e) all RPs are conducted on the NS forums f) We use discord, message me for the link of you want it.

I'm looking to move a nation (not this one), from its current region.
I'm an experienced roleplayer with many years on NS with various nations.

The Region I'm looking for ...

1. Is mostly MT, but dabbles in other techs
2. Uses an original map, not RL world
3. RPs on NS, not off site.
4. Has a diverse collection of nations with different cultures, ethnicities, economics, and politics
5. Has players that commit to RPs, then finish them. Even if it takes months or even years.
6. Is flexible on canon, not closed region. I just want to continue having canonical touchpoints with other nations that I control in other regions. (Not asking to invade the region with an outer regional empire or anything like that.)
7. Everything regional canon-wise isn't decided on Discord or through iiwiki articles
8. Might have players interested in doing interactive shared doc RPs.
9. Has a player in the region interested in being a European style (or different, I'm open) former colonizer of my nation.

Hoping to find a region that hits at least most of these points. I'm curious to see how hard this will be.

Hello. This is an old post but I figured I would make you aware that there is a sort of late victorian era steampunk/schizo/fantasy region in existence that I am from called Ersetum. I am not sure if it would be up your alley, as it does use a custom map and is multi-species, but we are rather welcoming and happy to take people in as we are getting up and running. Epillon: We're a PMT region with an original map that's recently had a few openings and we currently have a more 'entry' level diplomatic/character RP Trouble in the Tropics that I know the GM is very interested in finishing! While we do prefer to use discord it's not at all mandatory.

Dau Sel: We have a fracturing IC alliance going on as we speak.

Though I will mention we're currently undergoing some restructuring as the region tries to find it's feet again, but new blood can only help!

The New West Indies might be a good home for you. We have an active PMT/FT roleplay in which you can participate. We also have a nice community that mostly socializes on Discord, if you ever decide to check that out.
