I've decided to get back on after some time away, and wad hoping to find an active community to be apart of.

I've not been part of this site since the early days, and I've got to say that I was quite surprised to see it was not only still kicking, but seems to be thriving. This also means, though I vaguely remember how to work the basics, I'm a bit lost when it comes to all this "gameplay" talk and regions. With that said, I have dipped back in simply because it's nice to have a little virtual-pet of a nation you can shape and grow over time, even just in the basic way NationStates allows.

Regions seem to be a moderately big deal, given the amount of telegrams I got hit with when I re-registered. I'm not really looking to get into any RP, and I suspect I'm not overly concerned about whatever this whole raiding and defending thing is about either, but it'd be nice to have a flavourful region to be part of even just for the sake of it, as long as that region would be fine with me basically not contributing in any meaningful way.

Any suggestions, or is it all just flavours of RP region and the occasional edgy raiding-focused gameplay type?

Hmm. The Union of Democratic States is certainly a flavorful region. We provide an IC regional government with active elections and lively debate. Maybe you could consider us.

You might like to try out South Pacific. We don't do RP or R/D. We have a small regional government which you could get involved with if you wanted to without too much stress, but we have fun chat on the RMB (a lot of sharing of music, but right now we're poetry-ing ). We also have a Discord server that you can chill out on (here's the link if you want to check it out first).

You might want to consider The Union of Democratic States. We are fairy active, we have a ministry of role play, a military, we offer a minecraft server, and we have an IC regional government with an executive, legislative, and judicial branch. We additionally have a debating channel on discord. You should check us out.

Looks pretty interesting. I like the visual flair, if nothing else. Given how little I'm actually looking to get out of being in a region and on the understanding that I'll be contributing less to it's success than Lichtenstein likely does to the EU, I think I might just join.

I'll be honest, I spawned in The South Pacific for whatever arbitrary reason, but I just don't feel it. I'm sure you guys are lovely, but for what little I'm looking for in a region, I think those other guys scratch the itch a little better.

I'll likely have nothing to do with either region's discord though. It's very much not my thing, for all manner of silly reasons that I don't need to get into.

Ordis is a close-knit, well-organised RP region, with a fictional map. While we're focused on forum RP, most worldbuilding and regional communication is coordinated through our discord server.

You'd enjoy the New West Indies! In addition to the things I mentioned above, we have about 60 citizens and about half who are active in roleplay. We don't roleplay on discord (we instead reserve it for the RMB), but I don't believe that's too much of a hinderance. The main RP is set on an earth map with custom borders.

Our region is quite organized. Our Master Dispatch will show you as much, as well as documents such as our Regional Government Overview.

Finally, we’re always open to new ideas and new ways to roleplay and participate.
