As fate would have it, I too am in need of a new region to call home. I like regional communities that offer a lot of activities for their members and offer many avenues of regional contribution. I will say that I'm currently leaning towards larger communities as I am a very social person, but I'm no stranger to newer and smaller communities.

For potential recruiters: I'm known mostly for my activities in gameplay, specifically in defending. I do have a lot to offer for defender regions, but I won't close the door on regions that don't have a need for such expertise. I'm not just a defender though and have a history of region building and cultural activity. I even RP a little bit.

For those that know me: I will still be heavily involved with Hogwarts, but the casual nature of the region means I can contribute elsewhere as well. I'm also open to "Hey, let's try something new together!" just as long as there are multiple contributing parties and I'm not doing a large burden of the work. I'll gladly be the 3rd or 4th most influential member.

You could search the list of regions with the "defender" tag, but its quite misleading as many regions that don't actually or truly defend slap that tag on themselves. I can try to remember all of the active ones though:

Wintreath
Peoples Federation of Qandaristan (not sure if they're active)
Texas
Renegade Islands Alliance (my current region)
Yggdrasil (not tagged defender, but I believe they do)
Vvardenfell (new region)

You could join one of the various member regions of The FRA (The Founderless Regions Alliance) or you could join The United Defenders League and live wherever you want.

I know I probably left someone out or haven't noticed the creation of a new defender region, sorry.

Yggdrasil is defender-sympathetic, but our military is officially neutral.

Yes. The East Pacific roleplays, and roleplays often and well. We have an extensive and freeform map with many nations calling the Urth home. We have also streamlined the region to be nearly all MT.

I've searched around for quite a while, but didn't find any exact match of what I had in mind.

I'm looking for a historical roleplay region with offsite forums and map. It doesn't matter if it's antique, or medieval, or early modern, just historical. I like offsite forums and maps a lot too, so that's what I'm looking for aswell.

Something like the World Alliance, Esamir, the Global Federation, or anything like that, just historical.

Any tips?

The map could be either intergalactic or on a single planet, i do not care. My military is currently set using the defense force rating.

A World Power is also home of the RDF which is a growing defender military that features legendary defenders like Numero Capitan and modern defender leaders such as Dyr Nasad and Benevolent Thomas (hey, that's me!).

Hey! To start, I'll shamelessly plug Spiritus. We're very active, pretty well established at this point (5th largest non-puppet UCR), and have a democratically elected Legislature and Head Executive, as well as plenty of other chances for citizen involvement. Our Defender Military, the Spiritus Defense Force, also won the award for best Defender Military of 2015 a few months back in the 2015 Gameplay Awards so we know what we're doing

Other major defender regions that are regularly active include the aforementioned A World Power, as well as The Rejected Realms, Renegade Islands Alliance , Vvardenfell, 10000 Islands , and Lazarus . There may be others but those are your big ones, in terms of regions.

I'm looking for a region that is either explicitly future tech, or is willing to have an active future tech nation in its ranks (I'm not a God moder, by the way). One that has a map. One that's active, friendly, welcoming to newcomers, does lots of role playing, and has an off-site forum.

You could try 00000 A World Power. We are currently in a resurgence which means newer members are very valuable to us and many of us (yes, I have only been in the region for a few weeks) have already arisen to prominent roles in the region. Our roleplay sector hasn't received too much attention yet, but you could be the one to kickstart it. I know we have a few people that would be interested in participating in some roleplay.
