What makes this region different then any other region? Why should I follow the thread/join? What is your theme? What are your goals/alignments? Can I expect the other regions and roles that all other members here hold to take precedence over this, and it to fade? Do you plan to use recruits here for said other regions?

Thank you.

Thank you for your inquiry. What makes Brotherhood of Shadows different to other regions is that our focus in this region is to connect different people as a community. We focus on the well being and growth of our community, not just through raiding, but through cultural activities, including, but not limited, to roleplaying. We strive to grow as a region and become an integral part of both the roleplaying and raiding communities.

Honestly, it looks like the same exact people as in every other group, doing the same exact stuff as every other group; have half a mind to inquire in moderation about the legality of the same players essentially running multiple recruitment threads.

On a separate note, reads like a cheap knock-off of the Brotherhood of Malice; an invader group far more impressive than this one.

I remember being approached to join this region before it started up, with Scientiam constantly preaching how community would be valued over raiding.

Now I'm glad I didn't join.
What a load of bullshit that was.

Something interesting to note: the flag is an alternative TBR flag.

It's a fair question. If people are running multiple organisations that are nothing more than the same group of people operating under a few different flags/names, then it's going to look to us like they're doing it to evade the recruitment limits. That would lead to further moderator action (locking of threads, barring regions from TG recruiting etc.).

I'd love to hear specifics on why you think the idea that community will be more important than raiding in this region is crap. As far as I can tell, the only reason why you think that's crap is because Cora is involved.

I assume you're referring to Cimmeria- but between this thread and masked users on their forum, there are 10 different members of this raider org. Only Cora and Vandoosa are part of Cimmeria, and neither Cora or Vandoosa have registered on the forum of the Brotherhood of Shadows. There is a significant crossover in membership with DEN, but DEN has significant crossover with all current raider organizations. There's no weird conspiracy to flood the Gameplay forum here.

If it's kinda like your dislike of Asy and The Mafia, then my guess is correct.

I'm just messing with you, Ava.

The specifics on why I think it's crap is because the 'community over raiding' speech was leveled to me the same day he claimed he was coming up with the idea for it. That was only a day or so before this launched indicating to me that Scientiam barely even attempted to gather a community before launching it, and then they're out raiding barely 24 hours after the launch. It looks like just another tag raiding squad.

I haven't heard the specifics of that speech, so I'm going to make my own guess without the details, but I count 10 people in this org, and of the 3 that came to raid in that first update, none were the high commanders (Sci, Cora, Vandoosa). It looks like the tags happened simply because they felt like tagging, not because of a major push by Scientiam. I wouldn't call him a liar yet.

I was quite asleep at that point in time as a note. I also never said that raiding wasn't important, just that i wanted a higher focus on community. If 90% of the people just talked and didn't raid, i would be cool with that (I hope we would have enough to raid though. :) )

I only mean to point out how derivative of TBR the theme is. The "shadow person" depicted in the image above is similar to a ringwraith; a popular sort of figure in TBR update posts. It's especially noticeable when this group starts at the same time as a "revived" Black Riders (with one of the same members).

Didn't know Ninjas and Samurai were LoTR. We might have started at the same time roughly (we actually started a day or so before) but we are not really affiliated (Cora is mainly a formality and a nicety).

The reason why I picked that Shadow Person, was because it was 2:00am, and all the other pictures were creeping me the heck out. It's not supposed to be a Wring wraith, but a supernatural being. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_person

What a completely unoriginal region, even in theme. Seriously, shadows and black are so overused. Nothing about this region sticks out or is particularly outstanding.

Haha, you two read a lot into that. I only said the "shadow person" depicted in the image above is similar to a ringwraith. And it is very similar. I pointed this out to further explain my original meaning when I had pointed out the origin of your flag (which was that your theme is derivative of TBR). :)
