Howdy folks, Raven posting from his nest away from home. I got shook out of my holiday nest by an angry red faced minister brandishing your telegram at me like a weapon, so I was half concerned it was a coup. Thankfully it wasn't.

Ordinarily I'm always happy to support the Hawks, but a headsup in future would be appreciated and all. Oh and I'm charging you my bar tab tonight, I don't want to be woken up like that again.

(I'm going back to my holiday-nest now >.>, and Queen Hyacinth Ravenclaw wants me to let you know that KoA sends its love as normal.)

Both Raven and Cormac were spoken with privately and we are all good.

In other news, I am sad to see that there has not been any liberation attempts on Heroes Rise :(

Lower the margin, we may swing by ;)

Bullshit, I intentionally left it at 15-23ish for nearly six full days before inviting Albion and the CDF to the party to speed up my ejections.

But thanks for making me win my bet :P I put imaginary money on the defender reply switching from "they're not active enough to warrant a lib" to "there's too much of a pile." ;)

Edit: Also, you know, ORCA was looking to lib too, and has a chunk of Endos, but last I heard the TGW response to the idea of helping them was literally laughing out loud at them in a voice chat, so... Can't exactly blame us for that one.

I'm usually up for a friendly wager but nobody was going to take you up on that.

That was an odd moment in the LWU Discord chat but, to be fair, Tim was not present.

A Minor Update on Heroes Rise:

>The native delegate has given up, removed the region from the ORCA pact following their failure to take action, and voluntarily left for Lazarus
>ORCA has stated that since the region is no longer a member, it's 21-strong gathered liberation army will now disperse instead of taking action. Shame, that plus the defenders online any given night might have been able to lib the region.
>Only 10 natives remain in the region, about a third of the number pre-invasion.
>The Black Hawks would like to give a special shout out to Albion and Cape of Good Hope for reinforcing this operation with about 15 combined endorsements since about the day 5 mark, allowing the rate of influence gain to dramatically increase. You all rock!

This concludes your brief update on Heroes Rise.

You got your guys mixed up there Souls.

The native delegate AC1DTOPIA is currently hanging out in South Pacific. It's ORCA's former Deputy Prime Minister South-East Antarctica that has left the organization and moved to Lazarus.

You're right, I did mix up the region they moved to :P Thanks!

Yeah, I didn't go into the full mess that their organization is, but since you mentioned it - side note, ORCA is having some, er, leadership issues :P

Corporal Utsuho, locked in furious combat with an ebil fenda

A group of brave young hawks did venture
on the field today
though sleek and fast and full of vim,
they were met with dismay

For in their flight, they were beset by
bow-wielding wardens with glee
And with each subsequent wound
they saw less chance for victory

Wheeling through the air, they flew,
their feathered wings now blurred
Yet despite the seemingly impossible odds,
they pressed on, undeterred.

All in all, it could be said
that our Hawks acquitted well
for on that day, a proud seventeen
regions to their talons fell.

Corporal Utsuho
Corporal Scieca VI

Huh, thought it was more on your end. 17 to 12 isn't a bad night for us (or for you) at all!

Looking forward to more fun ;)

Heh, 17 to 12 sounds a lot better on our end when you consider we started with three updaters (and ended with two), while y'all sited 7 ;)

Not particularly, though. The Black Hawks are a well-drilled group who make very tight triggers. While certainly against a group like Firehelm we could expect to carry more wins from that numbers, the tightness of the triggers combined the the spikes in NS lag that a good amount of our troops were dealing with throughout the night mean that 12 is a very respectable amount to get. Sure we'd prefer more, and I'm annoyed with myself on some of the jumps, but it's still decent.

Wasn't denying you Tim, just emphasizing the fact that, when outnumbered that clearly, any and all victories on our part had to be purely from skill in triggering and moving, point being then that a team also including two fairly novice members (in the grand scheme of things) coming out with a positive ratio against some of the best defenders in the business, is better than one might initially think when just seeing 17-12.

I think the answer is yes. I wasn't there, but the meticulous records I force us to keep indicate that he was there. I also took notice of the lack of salt and its correlation to his update attendance. Love ya, Timmyboy

Hi,

I'm Ever-Wandering Souls, and this is my military.

I work here with my old man and my son, "Big Syb."

Everything we hit has a story and a price.

One thing I've learned after 23 months - you never know what is gonna happen during that update.

RAID STARS

So I'm sitting there behind my desk, just finished counting my stack and stacks of hits, and I'm expecting a guy who said he's got some top quality triggers for me, when this man walks through more doors, looks like he's in a bit of a rush. Sygian, he says his name is, and he's got a vintage 2016 raid that he desperately wants to get off his hands. Unfortunately, it was missing a matching raid report, and thus rendered near worthless. I told him this, and ended up giving him a generous 5 Soulsy Points for it. Thing is, I knew if I could find a report that fit, I could turn around and make bank on that raid...

Image

So my buddy hooks me up with this guy who's got a ton of mint condition raid reports, and I find a perfect match. He's willing to sell it to me in return for a quantity of raided targets, but he's coming in wayyyy too high. So I tell him...

Image

We haggle out a deal, and at last I've got a perfect pair - a raid with a matching report. Now all I had to do was find a buyer. Luckily, I know a guy who's always interested in nicely packed raids, and it was sold to The Black Hawks before I even closed up shop for the day. Sygian got some fast cash, I turned a buck, TBH got a nice package, and we all went home happy, on today's episode of RAID STARS

...Yeah so Syg was leading an op tonight, but i think some of the people on for it had to leave early, and some came late, and then something happened IRL for him, and tl;dr I come on, see that our raid ended up on an hastily "planned" plan B run, tell him to get off NS and do what he has to without worrying about this, and then tried to make sense of what went down while I was away :P Looks like we got five hits, and lost six to the Wardens, which ain't bad for something planned in half an hour, for more people, and led by a distracted trigger :D Good job to Syg, and hope everything works out for him. Here's a raid report, as promised. ;) May or may not all be tagged, looks like we were training some new points that may or may not have properly applied RO's xD
