Raid report: 12/2/23

December 1st, Major Shotgun Raid!

Well well, last night was a busy update for TBH!

In addition to the grand finale of Ben’s fantastic infiltration, we also went out Caroling last night to spread some holiday cheer!...of course, hawks don’t have a very well-developed syrinx, so what we perceived to be beautiful holiday music was most likely interpreted as awful screeching noises by those we visited. Oh well. If they don’t appreciate our music, that’s really more of a them problem. We had fun, and that’s what matters.

Hopefully they like the decorations at least!

In addition! We got to participate in a BONUS TARGET, courtesy of our special guest All Mummified Things from the Sekhmet Legion of Osiris!

As a result, EmbassyRegi0nia was captured at minor today!

Well done, Ben. I remember your first DM to me when we started the Sparkling invasion of the region. Joy and I had gone into it not sure what would come of it and really just hoping it would turn out to be a good one. I am happy that not only did the region fall to you and your diligent efforts in sleeping for the months that you did as Ovenerium, but that we got to be part of this with you. You did well. I agree with the defender awards here: Magna Aurea had me on the edge of my seat and was the most fulfilling op all year, and you are a big reason why.

It is quite an entry early on in to the new era the update brought that I cannot wait to see how it may inspire others to do the same. Personally, I am interested to see what strategic and tactical adjustments are made with this. In the shoes of a defender, I can see how one may be able to shrug off Greater Sahara with the amount of folks locked in for it. But this was just one hamster that took on the world and that hamster has now been maintained as governor.
