On a related note, this hit is extremely satisfying, as it represents raiders taking out the last of Rolamec's regions. For those who don't remember, Rolamec used to be a raider- but he grew a conscience one day, nuked the forums of the raider region he used to run (New Earth), and spent 6 months using his other regions (Westphalia, Islandia) trying to spread the fake claim that members of Unknown were responsible, at a time when Unknown had far too many other things on our plate to do much about it. Your involvement may have been a very long time ago, Westphalians, but it has not been forgotten. Complexo Cruor! Keep knocking them down, Souls. :)

Wasn't even a real conscience. He'd fallen to paranoia of his own members in NE, and one of his citizens, my then wife and a friend, Katrine, came to me for help in finding out if the spies were even real. When I went to NE, he had a massive breakdown and that started the blood feud between Unknown and New Earth.

He dubbed Katrine a traitor, among other choice words, many she did not know enough of to get a true context due to English being a tertiary language for her. She knew traitor though. And that one alone was a big part of why she eventually left NS. So yeah, I happily accepted the invitation in the name of the Imperium of Agia Germania. Both to give IAG it's first true blooding, and also the chance to strike at Rolamec. That's why despite doing this op as Strategos of IAG, it's my Unknown battle standard on my nation. I remember, Rolamec. I remember the pain you caused. This was only first blood of that pound of flesh you owe.

And yes, for those who are not aware, I am Ancestral Tachi in IAG.
When night falls, expect there to be blood,
As night falls, expect there to be fear,
When night has fallen, embrace the screams of your foes,
For that is when Cruor shall speak to you.

I can't take too much credit for this one. I said "make it happen" and poked the allies, but it was Kyrie who slept, and Rai and Jay who executed.

Where the grass is green and the honey ever so sweeter...

Defender or otherwise (and as much as I applaud how the Black Hawk sleeper remained for six weeks straight), I certainly fail to see the point in doubling the population of active roleplay communities for back-patting purposes.

"Endorsements Received: 93."

Booooooooooo. Why try to hold the region when you can invite a hundred people to endorse you and let the lead delegate spend the next month in a food coma instead?

We'd be stupid to challenge all of defending to save one of their own, and not prepare properly for them actually trying to do so. Why should we arbitrarily hold back? This is a rare chance, and the most will be made of it.

Challenge! Hah. This isn't a challenge. It's the same, sad 'na-na-na-na' that the Hawks have become famous for. You have to get in the ring first to gain people's respect. You guys couldn't hold onto a region if your lives depended on it. Your leads probably don't even know where the banjection button is anymore.

Best get your butts in gear then to prove this then, shouldn't you? :P Waiting on the liberation just gives the raiders time to build up an influence pool!

And speaking as an old-guard mod who has long disliked raiding due to the moderation headaches under the old invasion rules.... credit where credit is due, well played on the Westphalia raid, combined forces of raiderdom. You guys earned it. *grabs popcorn to watch the rest of the show*

Maybe you misunderstood me. It's not a challenge for us, so far - it's been rather easy, in fact. It's a thrown glove to the FORGE alliance and the wider body of Defending to protect a large, self-proclaimed defender region that we, believe it or not, are holding, right this second. By the bitching about the pile, it appears to be quite a challenge, in fact. I see Altmoras' telegrams and SWORD's efforts to scramble their member and embassy regions. We'll see what comes of it. We won't get a chance to prove we know where that button is if you don't start jumping ;)

I think if there should be any mocking line being said here, it should be "SWORD couldn't defend a region if they owned it."

You can try, but you're not going to succeed at mocking us into hamstringing ourselves for ya'. As I have said already - why the hell would we dare all of defending to protect on of their own without taking appropriate measures to deal with it?

Do you know what the easy way out of needing a liberation here would have been? Picking up on the fact that a large, defender region was founderless and had a low endo count with no endo gap sometime in the two months between when a turncoat announced we had our eyes on raiding it, and when we raided it, and doing something about it ahead of time.

Not even in the slightest. The last time a Hawk had the bright idea of trying to run a liberation without a hundred pilers corralling around him, we booted his ass so hard he was speaking Italian by the time we were done with him. And your posse hasn't recovered an ounce of confidence since. You'd be gutted like a fish without your pilers and you know it. You've admitted it.

I will never understand the whining about there being too many pilers. One side outnumbered the other fair and square. Do fendas stop letting people into the lib chat after they reach a certain number of people online just so it would be a fair challenge for us? Is Unibot just trying to make a subtle humblebrag?
