Who are we?...

The Other Reality, commonly abbreviated as TOR (not to be confused with The onion router, an anonymity network), is a democratic, friendly region that is dedicated to role-play. We strive to create an active, welcoming environment where all are free to hold any view, voice any opinion, and post however they wish...subject to reasonable limits, of course.

Our role-plays

The Other Reality currently only hosts one RP storyline; however, we are planning on expanding our RP sections to include multiple options to choose from in regards to RPs. Below is our current selection of role-play storylines.

International Incidents (TOR)

Category: International Incidents
Description: International Incidents (TOR) is a modern-tech role-play storyline that models real-world interactions. Players can partake in negotiations, trade goods with other nations, declare war, form groups and alliances, etc. Uses an Earth-based map.

Regional Governments

The Other Reality is a self-governing region. Our form of government can be described as a constitutional democratic monarchy. We hold elections for certain offices every few weeks, however the amount of time that an officer can serve is defined by the constitution and may not line up with other elections. The offices that are available during elections are:
-WA Delegate
-President
-Vice-president
-Chief Justice

All of our legislation is drafted by the nations residing inside The Other Reality. Bills must go through a three-day debate period to tweak and refine the bill before being voted on in another three-day poll. Bills must them be approved by the President before they can go into effect.

The Other Reality has opened a new poll, and the topic is whether you prefer tea or coffee. Everyone is welcome to vote in the poll, and feel free to discuss your choices with region mates. The poll will stay up for one week.

Regional Updates:

#1: Following the passage of the Establishment of the RP Office Act, nations residing within The Other Reality are being given more free reign in creating their own RPs.

#2: The Other Reality has begun to grow in size, and in activity.

#3: A new RP series is being planned. Launch date is still yet unknown, but should be ready by the end of August. The series will be run alongside International Incidents (TOR)
