The point isn't whether he has accomplished something, but that he is enjoying the game his way. I don't really see it as something to frown upon. As scolding someone for being less skillful at a game is always in bad taste, at least in my opinion.

Gradea isn't a little kid being scolded, or some free spirit being kept from enjoyment.

He's a player who is fucking up, and catching heat for it.

You seem to think thats a good thing. Gameplay posters are a bunch of rabid dogs just waiting for fresh meat to attack. Getting their attention is like fingering a shark, never ends well.

But, yeah, punishing someone for their inexperience on a forum is extremely counter-productive to the long term survival of said forum, that said, Gradea has had ample time to figure out what is "acceptable" in Gameplay and be accepted into the Gameplay community as someone with at least a minimal amount of respect. Since he has been keeping up the spammish nature of his posting with literally no sign of ever stopping (like, ever), he will continue to be hounded by Gameplay until he just takes a break for a bit or simply gets better at the Game.

So, yeah, Gameplay can be extremely hostile after the first few fuck-ups, or if they find an idea impossible.
