Balder will make York Jórvík again. Although it would be funny if Balder purposefully raided only British regions because of the history of invading the British isles...

Well, 300 is a big round number, which makes it meaningful for that reason. (Congratulations, Solorni!)

That said, if anyone wants to figure out when Solorni reached the highest "natural" endorsement count, I've searched through the dataset behind those charts to find the 100 highest endorsement levels recorded in the daily dumps for sinker regions.

Oh, the other idea I had for specialized Viking raiding was targeting Christian regions like how the vikings terrorized monasteries and such. We'd call them heathens and such.

Now that Osiris and the West Pacific have withdrawn, is Balder really committed to remaining the only region to officially support the Lone Wolves United takeover of Lazarus, despite also being the only region to have a treaty with the Dominion of Lazarus that should prevent you from supporting LWU?

Why you have alliances at all at this point is anyone's guess, but I hope your allies will look at your conduct here and in the past and reevaluate.

Balder is "really" going to keep supporting the legitimate and sovereign government of Lazarus, yes. In other words, we will do exactly what we have repeatedly and publicly said we are going to do. When nothing has changed in Lazarus since we set out our position, why would our policy change?

You have already been advised by the Statsminister exactly why your interpretation of the Treaty of Regenesis is incorrect. It extends recognition to "any legitimate successor governments", whereas the typical wording of such clauses in Balder's treaties is "any legally-enacted successor governments". There is a distinction. The presence of legitimacy is ultimately a political judgement in relation to which regions can draw on a variety of considerations beyond whether a legal process was followed. The wording of such clauses is a choice that sovereign regions are entitled to make they enter into treaties. In any case where Balder has entered into a treaty with any region, Balder will always faithfully uphold the specific treaty terms in our relations with that region.

Balder is honouring its alliance by providing support to Lazarus, not breaking it. You can keep complaining, but that has no effect on our decisions.
