Helpful thread and dispatch for people looking to defend. Maybe I will make one for raiders out of fairness

Aaaaa-haaah! Some progress at last on the D-side of the Fence. Pretty good activity on the taglands too lately, btw.

Please, Leave now moralistic bullshit aside altogether at Forums, report your successes and we all may have again real R/D gameplay, not only R as it has been few last years mostly.

Raiders like if odds are hard and against them (which is not case now), contrary to common beliefs, as hard circumstances and pressures put us try harder, develop our tactics, and overall influence of active enemy is positive thing. For a while I really feared that new generations of raiders must only hear stories about ancient, now extinct defender updaters, seeing only DYP occasionally out there on the Fields. When you really try with numerically sufficient forces, your raid interception % is not necessarily that low. More Action, Less BS. That is Cora's organisational Concept, adaptable for both sides of R/D.

2 WA-Kills from Ravania's puppets today (Minor Update, March 10th GMT), btw.

Cora, we don't need to report our successes for them to be successes, unlike TBR's tag runs. ;)

Ivo. Ah... UDL is UDL no matter what. Of course it is perfectly line with your Organisation's high moral principles not to use every possible means to make things better from your perspective. There are nothing admirable Merrymen's failures and it doesn't surprise me either that the lessons aren't ever learned for real improvements. Usually You can predict near future elections/promotions in the UDL simply by encountering a random dude in few regions you're raiding and - of course - extensively on Forum threads, particularly off-sites.

Simply put, I do not see any real development in The UDL's organisational praxis, nor any kind hints for will to develop it. You should close down whole thing and continue further. Start by burning pile of an essays! Good luck! Good Night! See'yah during Major Update! :p

Oh dear, does my sig really say UDL? Ah well, it's just like a little promotional sticker. As I have no say over the UDL's actions, you're going to have to take it up with Rav if you have a problem with their "organisational praxis." ;)

The moralistic bullshit is part of our charm. :P

But I will also be working on a way to more consistently report defender successes in the near future.

Why not an independent news agency for defenders?

You mean TRT? I think GP does well enough with only one of those, thank you very much. :p

TRT actually isn't "for defenders," it covers a lot of different areas of NationStates.

Getti's actually right, that is what I have in the works. It will be straight up news about defender operations and maybe some interviews though, no op-ed commentary.

I was eluding more to the popular opinion that TRT is heavily influenced and directed towards a Defenderist Agenda.
I think a new Defender paper would be a breath of fresh air being surrounded by the bi-weekly Raiding newspapers that regularly spring up, speaking of, we're overdo for one, aren't we?

I assure you Roar of Raiderdom is here to stay :p . It will be the last and only raiding newspaper, so I hope, and it is acknowledged by most raiders. Although there is much work ahead as our first issue wasn't near perfect.

Did you start by coping The almost identical list you posted here a while back and edit it, or type this all up from scratch? Why not edit that, change the title a bit to something more like a defender directory, and add a post saying you did so? Why was a whole new thread necessary?

That thread is a guide to detagging, and not all of the regions and organizations on this list detag. You will note that there are more on this list than on the other one.

In fact, I'll probably be reducing the other list to reflect only regions/orgs that are actively involved in detagging operations, now that this list exists.

I did note that, hence the bit about editing ;) There've also been a few leadership changes.

Yeah, I wouldn't want more defender news agencies.

I've actually just removed the list of regions/orgs from the detagging guide, since I can now just link back to this one. Thanks for pointing it out!

TRT isn't so much a Defender news outlet as it is a Defenderist news outfit. One is an activity, the other is an ideology.

Lol! It's about time defenders got some recognition.
