Well, the more people there are, the more hands we have to do the work, and the more that gets done. Further, it allows the refinement of division of labour, meaning that we can produce higher-quality, innovative products. On the other hand, supporting all these people can become a serious burden - in particular, the resources required to house and water the world's population are obscene.

Once your nation's population reaches 500 million you gain the abilities to customise its pre-title (and thus to replace terms such as 'Kingdom' or 'Republic' with whatever you want..) and to submit new 'Issues' for consideration.
There are three Issues that have population thresholds for eligibility: These give you the ability to name your nation's capital city, leader, and official religion, respectively.
The Confrederated Clans (and other Confrederated Bodys) of the Free Bears of Bears Armed
(includes The Ursine NorthLands) Demonym = Bear[s]; adjective = ‘Urrsish’.
Population = just under 20 million. Economy = only Thriving. Average Life expectancy = c.60 years. If the nation is classified as 'Anarchy' there still is a [strictly limited] national government... and those aren't "biker gangs", they're traditional cross-Clan 'Warrior Societies', generally respected rather than feared.
