okay guys I know look at the noob (sarcasam impled) but what does MT, FT, and everthing else mean?

This really isn't the forum for this (it belongs in one of the role playing forums), but MT means Modern Tech (tech possible today), FT means Future Tech (things like Star Wars or Star Trek), PT means Past Tech (Civil War, WW2, etc), PMT means Post Modern Tech (bridges the gap between Modern Tech and Future Tech). OOC means Out Of Character (the person typing is speaking), while IC means In Character (a character in an RP is speaking).

PT= Past Tech (Historic setting)
MT= Modern Tech (As in the stuff made right now)
PMT= Post-Modern Tech (Realistic Not-so-far in the future)
FT= Future Tech (Science Fiction stuff)

MT= Modern Tech FT=Future Tech

Basically MT RP are set in the current tech age. Where as FT see people flying around in space ship

MT: Modern Tech. Limits you to technology that exists in real life.

PT: Past tech. Wooden sailing ships, swords and crossbows, etc. Sometimes, depending on the nature of the thread, magic/fantasy stuff will be allowed in PT threads... however, you're more likely to find those things in AT (see below).

PMT: Post-modern tech. 5-20 years into the future, usually. Stuff that's experimental now is in common use, but it's still not full-on...

FT: Future tech. Hyperspace/warp/other FTL (faster than light) travel, other extremely advanced technologies that go way beyond even PMT.

AT: Any tech. Means that the thread doesn't discriminate based on tech level, and is open to everybody. It's not uncommon for MT, PT and FT nations to wind up in the same AT thread, and then encounter a fantasy/magic-using nation. Not yet a recognized acronym, but AT threads are getting more popular so that's likely to change soon.
