What's going on Rifty?

Haven't made a post in a few weeks sorry; have been on holidays so my activity both as the Founder of AoI and elsewhere has been a little less than usual. However i'm back now so no need to continue missing the glorious Prophet!

Military

AoI's Military has been growing in strength which is good. Completed a few operations and a couple training runs where we have been getting some of our less experienced updaters wielding the Banhammer. Piler numbers are slowly growing back to the size we used to have them at and soon enough we will be able to run most operations without external assistance. However i would like to thank both Shadoke of Madrigal as well as Valrifell of Sicarius for there ongoing assistance with the development of the AoI military.

Region

Well - Recruitment would have gone out by now but well my PayPal screwed up (such sad...not really; you are all sitting there cheering ) and i have been unable to purchase stamps. It's working now so Recruitment will be out as soon as possible!

We have continued to develop our community outside of NationStates with activity on our forums picking up, Skype calls between members, Use of our IRC, plenty of people on AoI Radio and myself personally play GTA5 with two of our citizens. Oh yea - We have a crew in GTA5; Riftanity. Wouldn't have guessed?

Elections are right around the corner which will be an exciting event. However this will be the final election before the regional discussion on an editing to our electoral process. It is turning into a rather interesting time in the borders of AoI!

AoI Commonwealth and the Warzones

The AoI Commonwealth is slowly extending to other regions. We have recently begun setting up of the Commonwealth in the Warzones opposed to the current UWR. This has faced both positive ad negative views from the residents - however so far looks as if it will go ahead.

This will involve each Warzone becoming a protectorate of AoI in return for the pinning of a dispatch and an embassy. This does not come out of a beneficial stance because other than that we achieve no gains. This was down to my personal interests in both Warzone Europe and Warzone Asia. After deciding to cover them both in times of need i decided to extend the gesture to the entirety of the Warzones.

Warzone Asia has show a keen interest on the idea as long as we would allow them to continue ties with large Defender regions such as TEP and Laz - We agreed as we do not wish to dictate the affairs of the region.

Warzone Airspace; The head of the UWR has stated that they support the idea as long as both Warzone Asia and Warzone Europe joined as well.

Warzone Europe has begun talks around the matter and we are looking for the best compromise between our two regions which have been allied before all of this.

Warzone Australia is currently being held by us until a native government can be found to restore the region.

Warzone Sandbox and Warzone Africa have shown somewhat of a negative view towards the idea - However they have time to reconsider their decisions.

Out of curiosity, how much of what's currently going on in the Warzones is voluntary? I note the closure of embassies between all of the other Warzones and Sandbox, and find it hard to believe they've all decided to do this free of coercion on your part.

Warzone Sandbox has openly invited all Warzones to fight raiders. Warzone Sandbox has also had an aggressive stance towards AoI for over a month now. We have raided them once before and removed the government - however they did move back in. Support for them is not shared by anyone outside of WZSB and it is a fairly unanimous view that they are a liability to the security and integrity of all the warzone comunities.

So i sent a telegram to the leaders of all the warzones stating this exact word; ask all the delegates if you so choose:

I ask that you close embassies with warzone sandbox please

That was all - Every single warzone did it without question.

The rest of what has been going on has been - Wishy Washy to explain it. aha. WZEU and WZAS have my personal assurance of nothing negative occuring to them both if they said no to the commonwealth as i am a citizen in both regions. WZEU decided against for a fairly reasonable reason that we have taken to further discussion.

However we have threatened WZAF stating that if entry into the commonwealth didn't occur we would consider action.

WZAU has no government so we are currently holding it until a native willing to lead is found - Which actually seems to be fairly soon.

WZSB....they have been given a chance to erase the past; their delegate was given 48 hours to decide...We are still awaiting a response.

WZAI had agreed without me even going into detail as they feel it is a better idea than the current UWR.

Thanks for the detailed response. I was mostly just curious as I don't usually take much interest in the Warzones, but with the possible exception of WZAF that all sounds surprisingly reasonable.

I have been rather diplomatic throughout this process - Obviously though you can't make an Omelet without cracking a few eggs. Everyone also has to remember we are Imperialistic Raiders....so that means something.

It's been there for a while - Just had it as NSG's as i was posting on there a fair bit...but since im on gameplay more I thought it would relate to gameplay more. I added a couple things to my sig today but nothing major.

Yes, I'm aware haha. But if I had to choose between one of the two words, I'd always pick mercenary over raidfenda just because of its gameplay connotations and history.
