Well, I was looking around the other day and found everything from national seals for individual branches of government for a specific country, a detailed map of a country, and seemingly one-of-a-kind signatures! Where do you guys get this stuff, short of making it by hand and scanning it onto your computer?

Probably in the wrong forum as many Generalites don't bother about such things.

Gameplay might be best or maybe II.
You know you've made it on NSG when you have a whole thread created around what you said.

Some people have Paint or other simple programs and some people like to go all out and have special programs. I can't explain the dedication.

Some draw them. Others get people to draw them. I've put a bit of effort into attempting to write up my factbook, but my computer-drawing skills still need practice.

I hung around (the various forums of NS) eavesdropping and asking people how they got their cool flags

and i got a few telegrams back, citing different sources

and three of them said "Oh, Nation 'X' just made one for me for free, just because I asked!"

So I asked nicely and he made one for me too.

Some of it's done with online apps, some with graphics programs like Paint, Photoshop, or Gimp, some by hand and uploaded, some on request, and some by outright theft.
