So there isn't any built-in war mechanics here in the site. The ways you can wage 'war' onto other nations/regions end up in;

  • You can RP a war out with someone in either International Incidents or in one of the regional RPs many regions have.
  • You can 'conquer' other regions through R/D. It's a bit...weird to explain, so I'm just going to let the site FAQ answer this;
There's also a type of interregional invasion known as "raiding" or "R/D". This is where organized groups of nations attempt to seize control of regions by moving there en masse and endorsing each other to gain political power. Unlike nations, regions can effectively be captured and destroyed. This isn't common, but isn't unheard of, either.

And then direct you to this guide. Like I said, it's a bit weird to grasp as a concept.

Is there any way to unban the guns?
I don't want them to be banned anymore.

Wait for an issue to come around, then choose an option that unbans it. It may be super quick, or it may take a while for you to get one.

And, in the meanwhile, mention in your sig that you do not regard the ban as applying IC...

There's a way in which teachers can get regions (with their own nations as the Founders) registered with that status: IIRC all nations there are automatically WA members, nobody can move in except under some special arrangement for nations created with those teacher' approval, nations n those regions can neither send or receive TGs (at least to nations elsewhere, not sure about internally), and nations in those regions cannot post on these forums (although I think that they can read them). I suspect (but could be wrong) that they can neither receive or send embassy requests, too. Basically, they're a way in which teachers can use NS to help their classes learn about decision-making & democracy & so on without the risk of outside interference.
Nations there can submit WA proposals, but this happens only rarely and I don't recall ever seeing one reach vote.

"Issues" et "policies"

Bonsoir,

-Issues affect your nation's statistics. Almost all issues have no other effects.
-You may "dismiss" issues you don't like by clicking the button on the bottom right of the screen instead of "accept"ing one of the issue options.
-Over time, you will get issues that allow you to reverse your nation's policies.
-You can receive the same issues multiple times.
-There is a short list of effects of your issue choices here: https://www.nationstates.net/page=activ ... filter=law , but it only includes a few days of history and doesn't mention the specific issue and choice you've made.

Good evening to you, as well.

Bonjour,
Vous savez les français, aussi, ne parlent pas magnifiquement anglais...
Donc si, par exemple, j'ai la "policies", "No Sports"
Avec les issues à venir, je pourrai modifier cette politique qui est absurde ?

Merci d'avance,
Bonne journée à vous !

I just started and yes I was bombarded by all the telegrams for Region invitations before I figured how to turn it off. What I am curious about is how to sort out a list of what regions might actually appeal to me? I am conceptualizing my country as a fantasy setting (think Tolkien-esque) and I would love to find an appropriate Region to place it in where the RP will work as well. Any thoughts?

1. You can try asking in viewtopic.php?f=12&t=365030, although in practice the most likely responses would probably be from regions that don't fit your specified requirements but are just trying to recruit as many people as they can anyway.
2. You can search from the 'The World' page, using the combination of tags 'Magical', ''Multi-Species', & 'Past Tech'. (I think that you use "plus" signs (+] to link them, but am not sure exactly how...)
3. Take a look at the region Middle Earth: Even if that doesn't suit you itself, somebody there might have better suggestions.

Any advice on how to join an active roleplay without being seen as an interruption, or how to start a roleplay?

This isn't the place to ask - Gameplay isn't one of the roleplay forums. I'd suggest trying this Roleplay questions thread: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=118474

Regional Card Program

Not sure if this is the appropriate forum, but I am thinking of getting a card farming region for Fylkirvegr setup, this might boost activity within my region with the introduction of cards competitions and prizes, but I am not necessarily sure how to start correctly and how these regions actually obtain these huge amounts of cards, any suggestions and feedback on successful card farming regions and how its supposed to be done?

1) Make puppets. 20 will do for now.

2) Join the cards discord. There's a really neat community there that will help you set scripts up, notify you of pull events (where you can get all the money cards!), and that you can just talk with about things.

3) After your scripts are set up, farm and make more puppets to suit your needs.

4) Send the good cards you find to the giveaway nation and do giveaways!

That description will change as your nation gains population, which happens automatically over time and cannot be sped up.

Answer issues in ways that favour free enterprise, and not in socialist ones.

So, I'm not sure if this would be the exact best place to ask, but I figured I'd start somewhere. A couple of issues I answered recently exploded income inequality in my country, but I still have a massive welfare program. Answering options to improve it only incrementally move my stats back towards income equality, if it moves at all. Would it make more sense to try to answer an issue to abolish the welfare program and then reintroduce it? Would that help make the stats jump back up a little faster? I don't really know how much the game considers how much I've invested into Welfare already, so I'm trying to gauge if I should just "restart" it to try to get things back where I'd like them at.

so my computer was was shutting down due to overheating. I took it in to be fixed and the end result was two months without any way to acess the net. during that time my nation was rendered inactive. the region I created many years ago was then lost to me. when I got back somebody had refounded my region. it seems it has since disappeared. is there any way for me to get it back?
