You know how some people have political compasses that show how capitalist to communist and conservative to liberal a nation is? I cant find an example, so I hope you know what I mean.

Think it's some political survey they took on Google like Political compass or from a thread on factbooks and national information.

If you’re the founder/RO of a region go to the Admin page, scroll down to the Embassies section, click “New Embassy” then type in the name of the region you want an embassy with and click “Visit Admin page”, go to the Embassies section again on that region’s Admin page and click “Request embassies between [Your region] and [Their Region].”

How do you create signatures for your nation? Is there any requirements to do so? Also, what does UCP stand for?

The UCP is the User Control Panel, which is where you need to go to make a signature. On the Forums, go to the “User Control Panel”, “Profile”, and then click on “Edit Signature”. After you put in the signature just click “Submit” and it will be saved. There aren’t any requirements to change your signature as far as I know.

Is there a way to create your own international organization in NationStates?

You can create a region, yes. Go to the world page and click "found a new region". I'd advice switching World Assrmbly delegate controls off.

How do you make a URL display like this

www.example.org

Instead of https://www.nationstates.net/nation=exa ... id=example

Thanks.

Code: Select all
http://www.example.org

http://www.example.org

In other words the full target address goes after "url=" in the opening tag, and the descriptive name goes between the tags.

Thank you, and I wouldn't dare do that.

Can someone tell me how some regions have a custom officer title for the Leader?

I can't rename founder or WA Delegate.

I can't rename founder or WA Delegate.

They just give themselves an RO position separate from existing founder/wad position

I have written and posted an issue draft on the 'Got Issues' thread. How does it become an official issue?

What does AN stand for?

generally, "above nation".
So a thread that says "rate the AN flag" is saying to rate the flag of whoever posted right before you.

Could someone explain how WA delegate is elected? I have endorsments from fearland and kaostopia, and I endorsed fearland. I am founder and have been here longer. But fearland was elected delegate.

Edit:
According to the FAQ, I should have been elected.

Over the course of an hour (or longer, typically for the Major Update), each region updates, one by one, although less than a second after each other. During this time, nations are updated within the region (one by one, right after each other back to back in less than a second each) in order of how long they've been present within the region, with the long time residents updating first and newer arrivals last.

During these times, the endorsements are also recounted within the region. The nation in the region with the most World Assembly endorsements at this time becomes the region’s WA Delegate.

I was in the region longer and I have more endorsements.

You may want to wait a few hours if this was recent. The game updates every 12 hours, and sets new WA delegates then. If it doesn't work even after a day, and you still are not WA delegate, then that's an issue for the moderators.

He endorsed me and then i endorsed him. Kaostopia endorsed me. I had 2 and he had 1. Then several hours later the update happened and he got elected even though I had seniority and more endorsements.

For the next update I should have 3 endorsements and he will have 0 or 1. Hopefully it updates properly that time. I just don't understand how he got the position. Is it unsafe to endorse my other region allies even if I know I have the majority?

I checked this at the time and it was 2 and 2.

If you go through https://www.nationstates.net/page=activ ... ember+endo you can see what happened. You must've checked before update when he had 1 and you had 2. Then before it updated he got another, it picked him 'randomly' between you two and subsequently you now have more than him. As long as nothing changes you should have it next update. Just remember 1 WA nation per player.

This page is very helpful. It does in fact look like Kaostopia gave Fearsberg another endorsement before the update. That makes a lot more sense. Thanks.

You should listen carefully to the advice given in the thread, and spend time getting your issue into good shape. Once you have done that, and double-checked for typos, etc., then use https://www.nationstates.net/page=submit_issue to put it in the queue for consideration. That link can be found on your issues page ("Want to write issues for NationStates?").

My citizens are 100% equal
https://www.nationstates.net/nation=mod ... ensusid=33

Why is my nation ranked #494? I looked and #1 isn't any higher (also 100%)

Ontop of that, my points in Ideological Extremism and Authoritarianism has not risen in days, despite issues such as: "3 minutes ago: Following new legislation in Mod Cave, motorists' locations are constantly tracked by intelligence and law enforcement agencies."

Edit: All my rankings are ruined. Apparently forcing refugees to clean my sewers is anti-authoritianism. My country has been destroyed by this issue.

There has to be some way of breaking ties. Usually it is done so that the first nation to reach a target ranks highest. If you can stay at 100% your ranking should slowly rise as others fall away. (Of course if you stuff it up, then you will be back to the end of the queue once you regain 100%)

Destroyed? Hardly.

Authoritarianism is derived from the inverse of your liberties. In this case you allowed a bit of economic freedom. Stamp that out and you will be back up to where you were.

I made a new nation after my last one was destroyed, and look at this.

Apparently "the state confiscates all corpses to use the organs and bones for "science" brought DOWN authoritarianism and extremism??
“What you people are failing to see is the enormous social resource,” mentions morbid mortician Sheng-ji Yang in a monotone. “Bones can be turned to human ivory, skin can be tanned into good leather, and trace elements reclaimed for state industry. Indeed, it should be seen as every citizen’s final duty to go into the recycling processing centre, and become one with the People’s economy!”

Authoritarianism
milliStalins V 2.0%

Ideological Radicality
Paul-Nader Subjective Decentrality Index V 0.67%

This game is really confusing sometimes...
