Are creating a bunch of alts the only way to wage war in the game?

I think to have a war game you need to have a cadence and then have or create a salute.

When I created my nation I could have sworn I saw a message saying don't create alts..but once I got into the game people are saying you have to have alts so that you can fight other regions? It's retarded. I'm sorry but I am not yet at the point where I want to clutter up my browser with nations and artificially inflate the numbers in NationStates. I'll stick to my war games like World of Tanks, Warplanes, and Warships, MechWarrior Online, and Star Trek Online..when I want to fight. Even Kingdoms of Camelot handles it better than THIS. However, roleplaying out a war, that does intrigue me...

You can have as many puppet nations as you want.

However, only one can be in the World Assembly at a time.

You’d take it just like any other region. If only one person is in the region there is no WAD. The raider point would have more endorsements upon entering the region and receiving an endorsement from the other raider, so the raider point would become WAD.

Nephmir and I will be working together on a rebuilt-from-the-ground-up guide to GP in the new year. Focus will be on providing a "quickstart" version of various topics (bare minimum necessary to dive right into things), each then supported by more detailed info linked/spoilered. Clean, lithe, and updated to reflect changed in GP over recent years.

I would have to agree with unibot III, this is teaching new nations how to be aggressive and attack other nations. It would be a lot better if it talked about how to defend your region, that way they can attack knowing that they are safe. This would also help there attacks in the long run because then they would know some of the strategies used to protect regions.

Overall it is a good thread and I hope it sticks around.

Alright... after spending the past week sifting through forums, and working on this guide for the past 16 hours save a few breaks, I have finally *completely* rewritten this guide so that it may be used as a relevant reference again. Feedback is still appreciated.
