What do you guys think is the best way to boost activity (be creative), also what is the best way to get more people coming to your region?

I'd say it's a combo of RP on an offsite forum, recruiting very often, and setting up regularly scheduled activities to give everyone a reason to come back. That's just me though.

The best way would be to post this sort of question on the Gameplay subforum. This is for roleplaying. Gameplay's the place to go when it comes to anything regional.

This nation is controlled by the player who was once Neo-Ixania on the Jolt Forums! It is also undergoing reconstruction.

Activities in your region is what keeps people around I suppose. Roleplays, R/D, Debates, Competitions, Polls and regional maps. Gives people to take part in. I would have to say the most important would be keeping the RMB alive - always can have a discussion topic in WFE.

I guess the last way is a consistent flow of citizens through recruitment.

An offsite forum is 10 times more conducive to conversations and practical activities for a region than an RMB. An active RMB may attract newer nations, it won't glue a community together.

I would disagree - I find the RMB to much more useful for just chatting and resorting to an offsite forum for more serious matters.

The RMB kept Capitalist Paradise together for many years without a forum or an active forum.

Ah, I mostly use IRC for chatting. So I suppose that's a function I overlooked. The RMB to me is a dumbed down forum thread with even less usability.

Insanely active RMB and making friends that relate to your regions general type of nation in the forums then telling about region.

I run an NS nation called Quelsh, which resides in the region of Australialia. A real shocker, I know.

If your region has a unique theme that could help as well. Attracting players interested in a particular thing or who are part of a particular group (ethnic, political, etc.) can help build a community more easily, and a coherent community generally equates to greater regional activity.

I disgree. My region, American Union, is immensely active. We're a medium-sized roleplay region, and there is ALWAYS something happening on our RMB -- pages and pages of somethings, actually. And it is, without a doubt, that activity that helps hold our community together.
