The Black Pearl has risen from the watery depths and has embarked upon a never-ending voyage across the seven seas of NationStates, plundering and pillaging helpless regions as she goes. The Ghost Crew of the Black Pearl lives for rum, wenches and shiny things.

Created by Disney for its 'Pirates of the Caribbean' theme park ride, the Black Pearl was originally named the Wicked Wench but was re-branded for the movies. Somehow along the way it got sucked into a watery black hole and rose again in the NS world. Not put off by suddenly being trapped in this rather massive and totally bizarre new world, the ghost crew saw an opportunity to pillage and plunder like never before. No region is safe. No region can help but fear the sight of our black sails breaking the mist on a starry night. The news from our travels shall be posted here.

The Black Pearl invites you to join her in the plundering. Together we shall make regions cower, wrong rights and right wrongs, drink ourselves into oblivion then pillage some more. You need ask yourself only one question: Can you sail under the command of a pirate, or can you not?

You'd best start believing in ghost stories.... You're in one!

The Plunder of the New Inquisition
A big, fabulous, new hat

A deep fog settled upon the coasts of The New Inquisition. The wind disturbed the mist, creating dark shapes, and sailors grew weary of a long nights watch. Then, one of these shapes became more clear. Clearer, clearer, clearer, Shadows appeared on the water and then...a ship. A ship with black sails, glided across the water. Warning cannons were fired against a spamming nation. The Black Pearl was there to plunder!

However, The God Emperor of Dys, a clever soul by all accounts, saw an opportunity. An opportunity to protect his region from the worst of the pillaging by offering a deal. He even presented the Captain with a big, fabulous hat.

The God Emperor made the tribute to the pirates as part of a deal wherein his nation allowed safe harbour to the pirates from which the plunder of the region would take place. In return the Pirates agreed not to pillage her cities. It goes to show, even a God Emperor should know to fear the Ghost Crew of the Black Pearl.

The Captain's old hat is now being worn by the Ship's Cat.

A cat in a hat? Fancy that!

Unfortunately, not all of the region were so wise. One nation, instead of allowing the peaceful celebrations to continue, thought he could trick the pirates by offering them barrels of urine-diluted beverages. Once the ghost crew learned of the trickery, retaliation was swift. Picnic baskets were squashed, umbrellas overturned. Ice cream was stolen from babies and monocles from gentleman, hats from ladies and medals from servicemen. Anything shiny placed into a moth-eaten pocket. But that was not the extent of the treachery. A Naval fleet of Kiezer sent missile cruisers against the 1700's pirate ship. The crew had never seen anything like it. Before being sucked into this bizarre world, boats in the 1700's were only attacked by other boats from the 1700's. For once, the pirates were glad of the immortal curse and fired grape into the harbour as futuristic ammunition seemed to evaporate into the mist when approaching the boat. A little verbal jousting then ensued among the two captains:

A Native after using missiles against a 1700's boat: 'You didn't beat me. You ignored the rules of engagement. In a fair fight, I'd kill you.'

Pirate: 'That's not much incentive for me to fight fair, then, is it?'

And so one of the "most storied and feared powers in Nationstates" came to fear the ghost crew and provided it with its first story. We rate them 6 out of 10.

After filling up the hold, the pirate crew got bored and sailed across the wide-sea to their next target......

The Coalition of Democratic Nations best start believing in ghost stories.... They're in one!
