Hermit regional influence

Postby Erovet » Tue Mar 11, 2014 3:37 pm

I would like to ask just one question:
Why does "Hermit" seem to be the greatest level of regional influence?
Usually "Hermit" would refer to someone living in "seclusion from society".

I know that. But what I want to know is why hermit is the greatest. Wouldn't you think that dominator or superpower should be the greatest?

it's my understanding that the only way someone can get Hermit status is to be a hermit, i.e., to be the only nation in a region and being the only nation they have all the influence

The influence rankings are based on the ratio of your influence to the rest of the region's. If you own 100% of the influence in the region, you're the most influential nation by rite of being a hermit.

I remember one region of ten people, and nearly all of them had 'hermit' marked on them. I think it's just your influential in a small region, not necessarily 1-nation regions.

So in order to be a hermit, you need to be in a small region for how long?

I support insanely high tax rates, do you?

This is wrong. Most likely is that a bunch of hermits moved to that region that day and hadn't had their influence label updated yet.

You need to be the only nation in a region, and probably for at least one update. It might take more - I've never tested it.
