An Appeal for Help

I am a new member of the recently invaded United Socialist Republics. Our region is currently being invaded a second time by invaders from an unknown region. We do not have enough active members to stop them from taking control of the region, and they will take control whenever the endorsements are tallied. They all seem to be endorsing Communist Teletubbies.

Please help. Please endorse our long-time member and former Delegate Stratovar before these guys can take over.

The invaders are:

UFA Moon Colony
Makeb
Southern Britain and North Ireland
Communist South Africa
Communist Group
The Smaller Islands
Communist Teletubbies

It appears from a short glance that the ANTIFA [grumpy-pants] have turned on their own. Typical.

Edited, my original post may have been a bit too much.

What does that mean?

If you are a WA member you can propose a Security Council resolution to either condemn invading nations or to Liberate your own region. Look at the Security Council rules first.

1) You also have to have two endorsements.
2) A condemnation for invading one medium UCR would never pass.
3) A liberation for a medium UCR that no one has heard of would also never pass.

As a raider myself, I know raiders would either not care the slightest or actually enjoy receiving a condemnation for raiding. So that's out. As for a Liberation, that depends on there being a password on the region, which as of right now hasn't happened.

The Security Council is about as useful in helping the region as native protesting.

Normally, Hygelac, posting this here five hours before major update would have been plenty of time for defenders to see it and successfully defend your region. Unfortunately, they all seem to be on a prolonged holiday -- or perhaps it's enchanted slumber, nobody really knows -- and it looks like they somehow missed this.

Well this is very disappointing. Thanks anyways. I don't know what they're planning but it looks like now they're claiming they're keeping us safe.

It was seen and alerts were sent out.

However the number required was at that time still high.

In his defence, he would have needed to grab eight updaters at very short notice, which is a lot to ask.

With sufficient prior notice, the UIAF can also muster a similarly large force. The point was that five hours isn't really long enough to amass that many.

Mind you, it's now been 18 hours and the region has yet to be liberated, so yeah. *shrugs*

Would he really want to waste the time of 30 different players?

Perhaps the UDL has cease to function as an effective fighting force.

Or perhaps they no longer care about helping people. Which is worse I wonder?

Well, I say it is far more embarrassing to have a military that wants to fight but can not, than to have a military that can fight but is unwilling to.

Most likely someone will help you, though the gears of aid seems to have been a bit slow as of late.

Hello :)

Have you tried contacting either Mahaj, Unibot III, The Saturnian Republic, Flowering Staplers, or Frattastan II directly?

Those are some of the more active leaders I can think of, and if you talk to them directly you may have a better chance than through the forum. The first three are from the United Defenders League, the last two are from the Founderless Regions Alliance.

Also, you can try actually going to the regional chatrooms of either the UDL (Chatroom Link) or the FRA (Chatroom Link), sadly both have been a little empty as of late though. But the advantage here is you can also talk to any active defenders in these rooms to drum up attention if the commanders happen to not be around.

Anyway, the reason nothing has happened yet isn't because people don't want to help you, it is just that the leaders that could possibly arrange for something to happen are very busy with end of the year exams, essays, obligations, and that kind of thing.

So you may find that you need to be a little more aggressive about actually going out and finding them than usual. Sorry :(

Edit: Oops, didn't realize Mahaj had seen this already. :P

You can still try contacting the others and the chatrooms and hopefully that will help drum up attention.

I suppose you could always try contacting a specific region for assistance, given the more cosmopolitan defenders evidently don't much care.

Alternatively, you can try contacting Milograd and Leutheria from Lazarus and Spiritus respectively, since those regions are both more active and more competent to assist you.

I find it amusing and telling that nobody is suggesting TITO. :P

I thought both of these had happened a looong time ago. ;)

Actually, 10000 Islands was the first place and only place I've asked. I telegrammed Grub but got no response.
