A player has been forumbanned for 2 weeks as a result of a post made in this thread yesterday. The post, which has been removed, epitomised the kind of conduct that we have seen a rise in lately, but which is utterly unacceptable.

Trolling/baiting people with personal real-life matters is not in the slightest bit acceptable, and anyone that does that is going to find themselves receiving lengthy bans at least, and deletion if it continues.

You've got plenty of in-game stuff to argue about - stick to that, and leave the personal affairs out of it.

Interview with Cormac A. Stark on Soviet Union Invasion
September 27th, 2013.

SOVIET UNION - Following the invasion of the Soviet Union, a FRA member region, last monday, NSGN secured a exclusive interview with Cormac A. Stark, Retired Osiris Delegate and lead on the operation.

Why make a move now? Osiris seems less then politically.

Osiris has been inactive for quite some time and that inactivity has been at its worst in the military. Detective Figs has made activity -- not only in the military, but throughout the region -- a priority, and my officers and I decided that it was better to get the military engaged now while people are interested rather than making them wait and potentially lose interest.

Why get TBR, TBH, and Kings & Emperors involved?

In the latter case, The Land of Kings and Emperors -- as a member region of the United Imperial Armed Forces -- was extremely helpful to Osiris during the July coup by The Dourian Embassy. We hope to work with them not only during this occupation but much more in the future. Regarding The Black Hawks and The Black Riders, they are professional raiders committed to raider unity and assisting in most raids. It seemed like a natural fit to include them in this occupation, to have some fun working with them, and to open the door to working together more in the future.

Do you plan on a full occupation or leaving after you've proven a point?

We've already had a full occupation, in that we have successfully held the region long enough to close its existing embassies -- particularly with the FRA -- and to establish an embassy with the Osiran jump point, Lacedaemonia. We have faced no opposition thus far, which is both a credit to our military prowess and ability to sustain an occupation in cooperation with our friends and allies and a revealing look at the current state of defending. This occupation has already been a resounding success and anything beyond this is just gravy.

We don't plan to attempt to refound the region, if that's what you're asking.

Has the FRA done anything else against this or just attempted to lib it (twice)?

Actually, the FRA hasn't attempted to liberate the region at all. The defenders who have been ejected and banned were the Speaker of the FRA Regional Assembly, The Protectorate of Ironicness III, who was already present in the region when we invaded, and a lone puppet already present in the region belonging to Wopruthien. The FRA has made a lot of noise over this but has been wholly ineffective in providing for the security of its member region, which should be a note of caution both to other FRA member regions as well as to any regions that may consider FRA membership in the future.

My advice to Soviet Union after this occupation ends is to withdraw from the FRA, as that would likely be more beneficial to Soviet Union's security than presenting themselves as a bull's eye for raiders by remaining an FRA member region that the FRA can't defend and seems to have little interest in defending.

Ok,thank you for your time Cormac.

Anytime.

Lies. Plenty of news happening in other GCRs and lots of UCRs. Someone's just not doing their homework.

This is what qualifies as news these days? Hahaha! That's so sad. I genuinely pity the "journalist" behind this "news service". If this is the quality of 4-question interviews with clearly pre-engineered, unsurprising, propagandist answers then I may actually miss Unibot. This is just sad and the two articles so far didn't even bother with a grammar check. It's a tabloid, please don't slander the term "news" with this garbage.

LOL Cormac. Your "military prowess" hahahahaha yes it takes so much skill to hold a region when there's been no liberation attempt to date and --- *gasp* --- delete embassies????!!!! No! Not the embassies!

*snorts* yep, we are terribly offended and shaking in fear at the feet of Cormac, the boy wonder that can't coup a GCR or even invade properly. We are terrified at the mere prospect of someone who holds a region for a whopping 4 days and deletes NS embassies. Truly terrifying. :P "military prowess" indeed

Sorry for the delay folks - Went on vacation, regardless, we now have two editors, so things should speed back up.

Hobbesistan begins telegram rampage--About a cartoon?

October 4th, 2013.
Image
Pictured:Hobbes(istan) plots every mailbox within NS to be full of cartoon related telegrams.

THE WORLD- Mailboxes in Mordor, New Republica, and others where occupied by a mass telegram yesterday- not by recruiting though, But propaganda for the popular(now disconintued) comic strip 'Calvin and Hobbes'.

The man responsible? Hobbesistan. NationStates Gameplay News secured a exclusive interview with Hobbesistan.

Why? Whats the point?

Well, frankly, I don't think there is one. It kind of started as a way to troll back all of these people posting threads about 'giving out free stamps'- I don't know the validity of all of those claims, but I felt like this would be a funny way to prove a point about stamps- They're a cheap way to get a lot of peoples attention-Perhaps too cheap 1$ is litterly all I spent, yet I made 1,000 impressions.

Has there been any fallout from telegramming all those people - mostly because you did not have to flag it as a 'recruitment' telegram?

Not really(so far), But I did get deliveries on all but one or two- because I did not need to mark it as a recruitment telegram.

How has public response been?

Besides Sauron(sarcastically) sending a telegram declaring war on me, response has been mostly positive (My mailbox filled up two or three times and letters are being deleted) from fans, supporters of the cause behind it, ecetera.

Do you plan on continueing?

Probably not by myself, no, but people have telegrammed me offering me to donate stamps for me continue - May hit a GCR or two, don't know, too early to say.

What is the underlying cause behind it, if any? The first question didin't seem to get the point.

As I previously stated- I honestly don't think there is one, I guess its down to peoples imagination. Some have told me I'm doing a good job of emphasizing the flaws within the Stamps system, others have said they just love the comic.

Thank you for your time, Anything else you'd like to say to the public?

Afraid not,no.

Alright,thank you for your time.

Well certainly, but its not technically "illegal" (to my knowledge).

Skirting the lines of legality sure, but i'm not technically linking anything either, nor directly encouraging people to buy anything.

Sedge enforces site rules, not RL laws (to my knowledge), so the meaning in context of 'dubious legality' should have been obvious.

It is illegal - consider this a ruling. You're not getting a warning, as the TG system & rules are fairly new, but don't do it again.
