Ivan Moldavi Returns to The Pacific
DilBar, The Paciifc -- In what has been a week of great intrigue, progress, and internal change in The Pacific, the sounds of busy footsteps crossing the marble floors of its hallowed halls have continued to grow louder. Senator A Mean Old Man's bi-weekly arm wrestling match with Senator Karpathos in the DilBar was leaning in AMOM's favor when the footsteps from outside the building suddenly caught their attention; in an instant, the door was kicked down by a powerful kick, and Karp seized the opportunity to bring his startled opponent's arm to the table.
At the other side of that dreaded boot stood Emperor Emeritus and former Senator of Justice Ivan Moldavi, who chose to reintroduce himself to the crowd of onlookers with a simple, timeless greeting, "Hello. My name is Ivan."
The Pacific is pleased to have Pierconium back home, and looks forward to working with him again during these times of change.
Milograd Introduces Pacifican Newspeak and Language
PICTURED: The Risellia Stone was uncovered by Milograd in the dusty catacombs of the PRP's forum in 2011.
Hall of the People, The Paciifc -- Following new legislation in The Pacific, the state's civil code is being rewritten in Proper Pacifican Tongue, and members are henceforth required to speak solely in Proper Pacifican Tongue. When asked about what the new language entails, Milograd said, "Well, essentially, we're throwing out the corrupted oldspeak and re-adopting an indigenous language. This language has existed in Pacifica for many years but has waned away -- until now."
Comrade Milograd proposed this legislation to Tribune Aleisyr this weekend and the proposal was met with great enthusiasm from the Senate. Rumor has it that Senator Feux actually chose to debate the proposal on the floor of the Senate in Proper Pacifican Tongue; in doing so, he forced Senators Gaspo, Laws and Bylaws, and Rothinzil to purchase Pacifican dictionaries from Risellia's old, but forever renowned, Storefront for Questionably Useful Things™.
The language is picked up naturally by true Pacificans, while it is virtually impossible to understand to a foreign ear or eye. The trick lies in the language's unique character system, which is based off of what appear to be salutes. Indeed, whenever you thought a Pacifican was saluting you or someone else, he or she may have been communicating in the root language that PPT is based off of. It's also entirely possible that they were just saluting, though.
"o/7o<o>\o/o>^o-," said Senator Karpathos, "o/\o<o><o>o/(`-')/\O_\o\o>." This explanation of how the language will be used to o/\o<o><o enemies of The Pacific and destroy o/o<o> is undeniably accurate, and we are confident that Eluvatar and Falconias will soon be <o>|o|<o>o/ by our <o> vertical \o\o>_o/ thrust project.
