Backpage Column: TEP WFE Gets Pretty
Under a giant sign that reads 'Welcome to TEP': In a totally non-biased media report, the Free Press News Service wishes to award The East Pacific with the best world factbook entry in Nationstates. Don't even try to submit your region's world factbook entry or argue with the results of Free Press News Service's exhaustive analysis of every world factbook entry in the NS world. We've made our decision and we're sticking to our guns.
And thejackass who crapped it outperson responsible for creating The East Pacific's WFE, Todd McCloud, was ironically available for comment shortly after designing such a work of art. The following is the exclusive interview between an unnamed interviewer of Free Press News Service as he/she interviews the fox guy thing on his latestmonstrositymasterpiece. Said interview took place in a hallway full of people, so some of the wordage may be incorrect.
"What inspired you to do this?"
"Well, we needed a new design to the World Factbook Entry, and this fit the bill. The old one looked kind of bland, maybe a bit tired. The new one is a throwback to the old TEP design, but with new perks."
"This WFE looks great in some NS Themes, but not in others. What do you say to that?"
"Switch themes."
"What about those who don't like ascii art?"
"It's hardly ascii art. It's just three letters, T.E.P., in size 72 letters or something like that, with a drop shadow behind it. Maybe they're spelled out with pound signs and forward slashes, but they're still letters, you know. And they're red and green. Green for being a TEP color, red for the fact that is compliments the green or something like that."
"What about yellow?"
"What about it? Yellow is hard to read. Otherwise we'd look like T big space P, and we're not T big space P, we're TEP."
"And to those who don't like the WFE?"
"Well, make one and we'll compare notes. If I like it, and it has all the info needed, who knows, I might think about maybe exercising the possibility of changing it up again."
Todd concluded the interview by saying the WFE is 'subject to change' and 'may be tweaked as I figure more stuff out.' Tune in to watch the dynamic and energizes WFE twist, turn, and reptate into a better state!

The regions you "took on" were not "Greater German Reich regions," they were regions that had embassies with The Greater German Reich. Not a single one of the regions EPSA invaded last night is Nazi, or even fascist, or even has any connection with The Greater German Reich beyond an in-game embassy.

Todd McCloud wrote:If all that connected them was in-game embassies, then yeah I guess we did do a little bit of good in addition to protecting the sovreignty of our regional message board. Now those regions no longer have the stigma of being associated with the GGR. They are indeed free to choose their own path, a path forged by the natives and not by past regimes. Dang The East Pacific! Always... finding clever ways to protect their interests and help other regions at the same time! *shakes a fist*

Spiritus Supports GGR, Todd Had a Sandwich for Dinner
In a political think tank room, under a table and holding a microphone: In what has been a rambunctious day of work and observations for the Free Press News Services, a late-night story managed to slip through at the last minute. But unlike the scandals and rumors of scandals that float in and out of the news room (mostly by our crack news team inputting a bunch of nations and regions in mad libs and going from there) we have a bona-fide proof for this one. The group known as Spiritus, apparently, has allied itself to the Greater German Reich. No word on if they are going to rename themselves "The Greater Spiritus Reich" as of yet.
Stepping in on an operation by the East Pacific Sovreign Army, Spiritus left little doubt that they did not seem to care about the rights of feeder regions' regional message boards. In a highly-praised move across the board by the NS populace (at least from what we can tell, you know), TEP stuck up for game-created regions everywhere and decided they were going to do something about it. So, the region's army moved into The Imperial League and closed one of the Greater German Reich's embassies. Details on the event are available somewhere in the last issue and are totally not false.
Anyway, The East Pacific Army was doing what it could after the movement: helping refugees, giving needy people shelter, rescuing puppies from sewer grates, helping ducklings cross busy intersections, and overall aiding the region however it could after liberating it from the branding of GGR's embassy. All was not meant to be, however, as a band of Spiritus stormtroopers goose-stepped into the delegacy and started its so-called "1,000 year reign" over the region.
Spiritus members could not be reached for comment, as they were yelling something in German and their jodhpurs made that 'rrt-rrt-rrt-rrt' sound when they ran in their secret police and began flushing out refugees one by one. A translator apparently overheard them saying they should have their new flag contain a double-cross instead of a single one, but it remains to be verified by our expert staff. Other SS (Spiritus Soldiers, that is) Officers were seen going to the nearest beer hall and leading a putsch.
Naturally, we decided to wake up East Pacific Regional Dork Todd McCloud and ask his opinion. At first he shouted "women and children first!" but then quickly came to his senses. "In all seriousness, I'm kinda intrigued. They tried to blitzkrieg the region a few days ago, but to no avail. I thought these guys helped regions, not hurt them. But then again I could have it all wrong anyway."
When asked if this disrupted The East Pacific's plans, he laughed. "Nah, not really. We don't really care if we end up leaving a region - we're not in the region-taking business anyway, because we already have the best region in the game. What we do care about is protecting our RMB. Like I said before, they stop spamming us, we stop being all movey and fighty and wordy." He then shifted his eyes left and right. "Do they have the pointy hats like the old Germans did? Those things look like they'd hurt a bunch."

You were just following orders. Not your fault.
