Latest News: The Black Hawks Announce Support For the Revolution|The West Pacific Recognizes Government of TSP|A New Flag for the Revolution

22 April, 2013

REGIONAL UPDATE: The People's Revolution Continues Unabated

Three days have passed since the liberation of the region of the South Pacific from the snares of the oligarch regime. Our dear Beloved Chairman Milograd has victoriously repelled wave after wave of both internal insurrections of reactionaries and foreign mercenaries forces under the employ of the revisionists that struggle to retake the South Pacific in chains. By force of the unrelenting will of the now enlightened masses of the South Pacific, the oligarch remnants have undertaken their timely retreat to a new region of enslavement and servitude they deceptively call "Free South Pacific."

In any case, the departure of the oligarch remnant has been seen as a glorious victory for the Revolutionary forces of the South Pacific. With well over 250 endorsements, our Beloved Chairman securely holds the office of the delegacy for the people. Revolutionary Literature is similarly being published by regional minnows once silenced and oppressed by the deposed tyrants which sought to perpetuate their hold over the people. Harmonious Truths: Glorious Tales from the TSP Revolution, anecdotes regarding the experiences of the masses in the era of Revolution is now available online to the Public.

At roughly 23:45, our Glorious Chairman Milograd commenced the forced ejection of a grand multitude of reactionary sympathizers, actively working to destroy what has been gained by Revolution; progress - something the South Pacific has not known under the years of oppression by the oligarchs. We move forward towards a brighter future under the guiding hand of Chairman Milograd.

RPers are great. I haven't been this entertained in a long time to be frank. Love the art by the way.

Is there a Taiwan/Republic of China just waiting to pop up...or are we expecting a Soviet Union to form?

Thers already a Taiwan. The old TSP leadership is refusing to acknowledge that Milograd had any power :p

Out of curiosity, how many threads does the coup need in Gameplay? Are you concerned you're not getting enough attention?

You taste but a tenth of what shall come when the Revolution finally comes in earnest, as the dialectic says it must. Then all Gameplay shall ring with the glorious hymns of the people, and the flames of righteous fury shall consume oligarchs everywhere! The Revolution rises!

It is certainly more entertaining than the same old regional updates, recruitment threads, and UDL conversation that typical goes on in gameplay, you have to give it that. :P

Just great. I wished we have more RP like invasion, D-day sagas, revolutions and civil war in gameplay. It brings a whole new perspective.

Kudos to SPSNS. I eagerly await the next news feed.

This would be even better if the Rpers would, you know, not fail at Influence 101.
Never underestimate the power of cynicism, pessimism and negativity to prevent terrible things from happening. Only idealists try to build the future on a mountain of bodies.

The Thing to Remember About NationStates is that it is an almost entirely social game - fundamentally, you have no power beyond your own ability to convince people to go along with your ideas. In that sense, even the most dictatorial region is fundamentally democratic.

Quite true. The thing i find most outstanding is how milo was able to pull it off and is still going strong. Even more dramatic are these snippets of pure hollywood/bollywood commentaries. It does made the whole boring regional update and delegate battles more engrossing ... pure, pure entertainment. Ala Hunger games NS style. I am waiting for how this ends up. Most likely milo will lose steam, but for sure I wont forget this event. A real time RP in gameplay ... and it has made me think that RP is quite fun.

REGIONAL UPDATE: Comrade Milograd's Influence Levels Gloriously Plunge To Match Proletariat's; Long March To Harmony Continues Somehow

The South Pacific's most loyal, humble, and superiorly gorgeous servant and comrade Milograd purged hundreds of counterrevolutionaries tonight in another necessary and beloved purge of the motherland. Proletarians everywhere cheered as she burned through her influence against anti-revolutionary revisionist scum and aligned her inflence levels with the typical proletarian. Indeed, Milograd is clearly a representative of her kind; the true people of the South Pacific, as opposed to the foreign imperialist lapdogs. The South Pacific's violent insurgents have been purged en masse since she declared the Long March on 4/20 and since then roughly 1,600 nations have been forcefully relocated, though some followers believe that this is an optimistic estimate.

Milograd started with 250 influence but intentionally lowered it for the sake of aligning with those she represents. Milograd has 17 influence points as of now but, to the surprise of some, she has survived 6 updates and amassed the support of many honorable people's warriors. The honorable people's warriors motivations vary from protesting influence, fighting the oligarchs of the South Pacific, personal amusement, and finding something to do other than snark about how incompetent (source: Cormac Stark) the UDL is in the GP forum. One soldier on the southern front reportedly supports Milograd because "eh is a pretty cool chairman and he doesnt afraid of anything but the bees."

On Saturday, the counterrevolutionary pigdog task force from some raider revisionist sympathizers, TITO (great enemy of Hoxha), the UDL, and their bitches "esteemed allies that can't field as many updaters as us who also we steal soldiers from but totally claim to co-op with" was smashed by the revolutionary people's vanguard with little trouble. Comrade Milograd defended the region from these imperialist opportunists and the people's endorsements have continued to come her way; her endorsement gap has grown from negative three to approximately thirty. The discouraged capitalist roadies have since resorted to spamming TSP's RMB to force our Chairman to break his promise about righteous suppression, spamming Milograd's inbox with poorly-crafted insults about how she is fecal matter (the nation responsible for this holds the delegacy in the old regime's exile region, funnily enough), and allegedly offering to purchase upgraded inboxes for nations that unendorse Milograd.

When asked about his thoughts on the resistance, Milograd replied, "I'm going to sleep now. Please stop pinging me, mate. >_>"

Image
Chairman Milograd is also a leading candidate for the 2013-2014 Heisman.

No one knows how long Milograd will be able to hold the delegacy for, but one thing is for certain: people will be watching, and many of them should be studying instead. Yes, I'm looking at you. O_O

Milograd knows what he's doing. Not his rper minions.

What I mean by fail at Influence 101 is their rhetoric about theft of influence and sharing influence, etc, etc. Influence doesn't work like that. You know that as well as I.

I find it both humorous and vindicating that the class enemies of Sozialistische Weltrepublik maintain so little intelligence regarding the successful Revolution.

Announcement: The South Pacific Worker's Cadre for Political Justice

We do henceforth announce the honorable formation of a worker's cadre to root out reactionary subversives in the South Pacific. With Milograd's expressed permission, we shall hunt the reactionary until he has nowhere left to hide. Subversives will be summarily executed with great prejudice.

We have complied a list of names of those counterrevolutionaries who seek to disrupt the progress of the People's Democracy and will face retribution for their actions:

The list will continue to grow as counterrevolutionaries present themselves.
