Interesting interview, for sure. I'm a bit surprised I was mentioned at all, but I'm not running for Minister of the Army -- Southern Bellz has my full support, should he choose to run again, and if not I'm sure there are plenty of other candidates who would do a great job. I'm also not running for Minister of Foreign Affairs. I would not inflict my reputation on The South Pacific by taking that office, and I don't think TSP would be silly enough to elect me to that office until my reputation has substantially improved, if it ever does. :P

I'm surprised no one mentioned Chair of the Assembly, though, given my activity in TSP has exclusively been there. Not running for that either though. As McM pointed out, I already have commitments in other regions and I don't want to overextend myself. I'm content with chipping in on Assembly discussions when I can.

Regarding Delegate tickets, I would like to see Glen-Rhodes throw his hat into the ring for Delegate. I don't know if I would support him -- it would probably depend on who the other candidates are -- but I think it would make for an interesting and exciting race, and a campaign debate on substantive issues.

I'd actually had the same thought in regards to Glen. His collection of ideas and policies is a rather mixed bunch, so half the time we're on the same side and the other half we're at loggerheads. I have no idea if I'd vote for him, but a Glen run for the Delegacy would certainly be interesting, and it is entirely possible that he could win depending on the campaigns. At the very least, as Cormac said, it would lead to some interesting debates.

I could see G-R making a run as delegate after a full successful term as MoFA.

Timing is generally fairly important in these things; there is often an ideal moment to seek the delegacy, determined by the competition, issues and wider circumstances. I can think of plenty of people who would have made great GCR Delegates, but missed their moment, only for it to never come around again. HEM, for example, was the clear frontrunner for TSP's Delegacy when I won it for the first time in 2011, but gave up a certain victory when he dropped out of the race. The circumstances that made him such a strong candidate then havn't repeated themselves again, and probably won't.

I actually love the idea of Glen-Rhodes running for anything. Of all the people I've worked with, after my love Kris of course, he's been the most capable.

As for whether and what I'm running for, well that's an interesting discussion.

HEM could have been delegate under brave littler toaster but willing decided not to.

At the time, I honestly felt he was doing it for all the wrong reasons, so I talked him out of it. It was a mistake on my part, because my real life situation didn't give me the real time I needed to be delegate that led to the sedge coup, and if I didn't talk him out of it the coup would have never happened.

Since then I have been repeatedly proven wrong by HEM, and I have even told him as such.

Contrary to your opinion Unibot, Hileville and Mcmasterdonia know me much better than you do. They are correct that I will not be running for an election - any election - in The South Pacific.

I have never sought office of any kind in that region, nor do I wish to. I am busy enough with other projects and plans that take time enough as it is. The fact that you tried to say I could play off a "Conflict of Interest" and twist to anti-Osiran sentiment also shows how LITTLE you know me and how keen you are to cause trouble. I do not EVER take roles which would result in a conflict of interest. Which was why I have never held FA in two separate regions or entities, which is why I declined when asked to take it for SovCon, or more recently for the North Pacific, I gave the same reasoning to Mcmasterdonia as I shall now repeat: I do not want any roles which are conflicts of interests for me or for the governments I work for.

Here's a hint: Try and choose a better topic to cause trouble over. I have made it clear to the numerous governments I've worked with whilst Osiran Minister of FA, and now Pharaoh that I don't do CoIs.

I think Glen has done a good job as Minister of Foreign Affairs, and I wish him well on his campaign for re-election, I also doubt Cormac will be running for anything as he has taken a general break from major GCR work to focus on the Brotherhood of Malice, I can't blame him.

I note that you decided to label all of G-R's potential opponents as Independent.

I also note how quickly you've turned on Escade.

I don't appreciate that sort of thing.

Independents are defined as "everything Unibot doesn't like", basically, and yeah, Escade has been a lovely, refreshing change for TSP from what I have seen, supported by the excellent Kringalia during this term. Professionally, I have had a good time dealing with both of them in diplomatic matters (and kicking their butts in their own game with the help of my Vice President ;) ) and personally I would love to see the two of them have another term.

I believe most of G-R's potential opponents are Independents -- that's just a fact. >_>

My basic worry is that Escade has a temper which can perpetuate arguments (we all can - me especially). I think she's been a good delegate, but I also think the Escade-Kris duo would be stronger with Kris as delegate and Escade as vice delegate/ I think Kris would negotiate the arguments better, while Escade would have more time to focus on the cultural activities that she does so well.

On the other hand, a lot of people said that about me and my second-in-commands in UDL. With my temper I would have made a crap second-in-command and I was doing a lot of the work as leader, so I mean, there's the other side too, how much is Escade doing that we don't see. She's probably working her butt off and deserves that credit.

*shrugs*
TSP hasn't indicated that there is anything resembling a grudge between me and the region over what happened so I really doubt they mind me stating that I found the coup to be great fun. It was amusing in that she was bombarding us with quite a few puppets. Out of the thousands of nations that we banned she is one of the few players that stuck out.

Besides of course my amusement is endearing, if I didn't enjoy what I was doing then I wouldn't be so delightfully lovable.

I am actually running for MoFA and MoA, since there's no legal restriction against it. I feel that centralizing that authority is best, because MoA constantly steps on MoFA's toes and I mean we might as well save on office space.
