The irony is that UDL, and Unibot in particular, once had a GCR - Balder - under their complete control, and a justifiable basis (finders keepers/first come first served) to establish it as their home region as a fiercely defender GCR. A number of UDL members, myself included, suggested such an action - Unibot refused.

I took a pledge not to use force for a political agenda, Belschaft. We couldn't do that with Balder, we had to establish a free and open constitutional convention because that was the fairest thing to do.

Just abuse people personally and lie behind everyones back?

Unibot is one the few sincere people here. He defends not for glory, vanity, or power. He defends because he thinks it is the right thing to do. Even if you disagree about whether defending is right or wrong, following your morals is a noteworthy and laudable action. Too few even have morals.

Anyone who defends for any other reason than enjoyment is a twit. Morals doesn't come into it. Neither does native rights (before we start on that line again).

Total user numbers? Of course I have those. I use Google Analytics. In fact, so does NationStates proper - I didn't even have to install anything. It was already there, I just added my website codes and boom, usage data. I don't see anything the glorious admins don't already see. You should inform yourself, I've never denied that I had basic usage stats.

I have no issues with Unibot personally (all the times - count them, 4, I believe) I've interacted with him directly, he's been charming and enjoyable to talk to. But I do have issues with Unibot's political platform, his moralizing, and his unwillingness to admit that he /has/ a political platform. Add to that things people whose opinions I trust far more than say, yours, have to say about the man and his conduct, and he earns dislike. There is still a difference between attacking him personally (something I and many people here have yet to do) and opposing him and his political platform.

But you don't get to lob such serious public accusations over it. If you have reason to believe that there is password theft going on, the proper place to file it is the Getting Help page. And you have a *** 3-day ban for flaming/flamebaiting *** in which to submit one.

As for the rest of the thread, I get it. Gameplay matters tend to get people heated. DON'T let a game get you so worked up that we have to go and start smacking folks with the banhammer over it. The sort of nasty emphasized above IS NOT OKAY, whether you're a raider, a defender, a native, and so on. Rules still apply, so knock off the nasty before mods have to knock some more heads.

Afforess is an issue author, while if I'm correct he was the delegate of Capitalist Paradise for nearly a year. He wasn't afraid to make his opinion known within the World Assembly during that time. Just because you haven't heard of someone doesn't mean their name is known within another community in the game.

When we were building a UCR Foreign Affairs department in UDL, he was the guy I wanted to represent us in the Capitalist sphere of NS.

Bullshit and that's what you hate so much about Balder. It's proof that we don't need to be a corrupt and moralistic cult to build an active and successful region in NationStates. For as long as there are people in NationStates ready to stand up and be counted, and vote for what they believe in, independent democracy will live on and trump your absolutist clique every time. The power lies with the citizens, Unibot. Every citizen of Balder who ever joined us is important and voted is vital to the region.
