Cause it's a popularity contest. Euro got the prize because the defenders love their inoffensive raiding. There are advantages to being disliked. Look at North Korea. If they butchered a million people tomorrow no one would bat an eye. Everything becomes permissible and common place.

PS: TBH was objectively the best raider group last year. They got robbed.

I can't believe you just equated Europeia to North Korea. Actually, I have no idea what you are talking about. All I know is that you sure are not taking this award well, are you? Why is there no crying baby smiley?

Also, you might want to look up the term "objectively". It doesn't mean what you think it means.

I think he equated himself to North Korea. Which should lead to an interesting series of upcoming raids I'm sure.

I voted for TBH too, but I don't think that's the reason -- or at least, the only reason -- Europeia got the award. Europeia's stealth tactics often make their switchers virtually unspottable and defenders tend to value stealth skill over clock skill, so I think that probably had quite a bit to do with it as well.

The real question is why Blackbird gets the disservice of having his name on the Invader Award... or why we give Invaders awards at all at the Defender Awards. >_> For years, I'll be honest and say I thought Blackbird was a old-time invader because his name was on the Invader Award. Didn't learn otherwise till I started researching NS history. :P

EDIT: I voted for TBR for the Blackbird Award, because I think they did the most last year and kept defenders on their toes.

Because he was effectively in charge of several Invader organisations. :P

By that logic, so was ES and Anarcho. :P

I'm not sure if ES or Anarcho have ever been RLA Directors of Intelligence.

They were not. They held various positions on the Executive Committee of the Supreme Soviet though.

In fairness to the awards, every year a guide is published that gives the background of each individual the awards are named after. It's hardly their fault if you couldn't be bothered to read it.

Congratulations to the winners and the organisers for great run. I'm already looking forward to next year.

I find it interesting that you named the Invader award and Defender award after forum wreckers, but only renamed the Defender of the year award :p I look forward to the drama surrounding next year's awards.

Moreover, there are four fingers on a hand (and a thumb which is also traditionally used for counting).

When I created the Worst Invader Group Award, it wasn't meant as an insult at all. It meant one group just wasn't up for standards for the big leagues (Noob groups) or maybe devolved for that year and crashed itself hard (Bad year) or just caused so much grief for Defenders/Anyone that they deserved a spot to recognized.

Hopefully either it meant that the group needed to get it's act together constructively or they have the pleasure of being a pain in everyone's arse.
