Time

Postby Imperial Aaronia » Sun Jan 06, 2013 5:28 pm

I find that because of my, possible over-, focus on the politics of my nation...I'd like for time to go faster. I usually want to RP elections government changes and the like much quicker than IRL time. I'm thinking of getting up my own timeline on my desktop, so that I can fastforward, perhaps at a rate of 1 RL week to 1 IG month.

I was just wondering; does everyone else already do this, and I've just been sitting eagerly waiting gor a realistic reason to kill off my leaders or do people rigidly stick to RL time?

Since RL 2009 (IC 4982), 12 years have passed in Olwe. Not sure how other people do it, though... I might be weird.

Scratch that. I know I'm weird. But I might be weird even by NS forum standards.

Tech levels incompatible? Then kick me out of the thread, because if you RP with me you accept my tech.
Note: Before 2480, Olwe was called Athan. If you see this word in a thread, it's because you mentioned a year incompatible with Olwe in that thread but still made it open to all techs and therefore are allowing Athan's magic.

I usually say that the current date and time in Lancov is tied to the current date and time in RL, PST. This means that I don't get to RP governmental changes too often, but I don't play very often anyway.

Time pretty much passes in CL as it does in RL (so today's 7 January 2013 in both the United Kingdom and CL).
Please note: Central Lothian is the direct successor to Mid Lothian*. As a result, I am still called Rebecca, I am still a Grammar Nazi and most information pertaining to ML also applies to CL (although I will be taking this time to change a few things).

* - And I may refer to the country as Mid Lothian. If I do, assume that I mean Central Lothian. (And not to be confused with "Midlothian" - I'm using that as a fascist version of CL.)

Obviously. If there is one word that describes Kalasparata, it is obviously "smart."

In general, time passes the same in my nation the same as RL, ie a day in real life = a day in the TBRE, especially when it come to news articles. However, battles are decisively faster than they would be realistically for the sake of role play, and I sometimes retcon items, although I try my best to fit it in with the previously established scheme of events (such as changing the National Party to the more accurate naming, the National Liberals).
My full name is actually "[The] Teddy Bear Republic Empire."
