The Meetup group exists, and you're welcome to arrange a local meet whenever you like.

I don't think this was a particularly successful experiment, as only a few of the proposed meetings actually occurred. The one in my area failed because all the other respondents needed parental permission or transport, and I think there was a certain amount of trepidation in meeting people from the Internet when you only knew a nation name.

Any Detroit or LA area meetings may count me in after August or so. For now, I'm Tampa/Orlando area.

There have been a number of meetings that happened, without this resource, but if it helps one group of players get together then it was worth it.

I think that the key to success isn't so much just geography, but commonality. So if the Generalites wanted to organize a Pacific Northwest Gathering or Raider Unity wanted to have a sleepover, it would probably elicit more of a response than just NS players in the Phoenix area would. Larger regions would also have a good chance of getting something together, if they were active and had a player's home (close to a concentration of players) to serve as a flophouse.

I've met a few of the gameplay types. But never in an official "meet up" thing.

I knew those people for at least three years before I felt comfortable enough to experience them face to face.
It was fun.
Maybe I will have the opportunity to do so again one day.

Prefer to keep to myself, or to people I know won't be asses to me in real life. There can be better things to do, like watching amazon and shopping.

No one lives near me so i feel alone. Then again their is NS where you can talk to people all the way in australia...and such...
