Announcement: Goobergunchia enters the Hall of Honour

Today we have suffered a great loss to our community. Goobergunchia, Chief of Feeder Affairs and long-time member of The United Defenders League has Ceased-to-Exist.

As such, this Civil Servant who has fallen whilst on duty has been recognized as any such Civil Servant should in those circumstances as far as The Greenwood Band is concerned: his quiver has been placed on display in our Hall of Honour.

His flag will fly on our forum for the remainder of the week.

Some may remember "Goober" or "Goobergunch" as the intrepid author of "Liberate Belgium" or the balanced and integrous player that was popular in both the ADN and the RLA where he served faithfully. Others may simply remember him as a player with a charming wit and an island of sensibility in a sea of emotions and ideals.

Although the comic book cover may read as though a hero is gone forever, my hope is that by the time we flip a few more pages forward we will find this not to be the case -- Goober would note, generally, it is not. *grins*

I would also like to announce that Earth has been appointed as Chief of Feeder and Sinker Affairs (we're changing the name, by request) to fill the obvious vacancy. She was by far my first choice for this appointment, I think she shares the same diplomatic presence and sensibilities that her honored predecessor possessed and I look forward to working with her more in the future.
