Friday 19th October 4AM - 5AM GMT

Last update came with a bang, as The Black Riders stunned fendas, successfully taking 27 regions, with many split-second timings. This marks a new record since the random variance was added. FRA and UDL were not seen at all, while TITO only engaged one troop in one battle, who was quickly eliminated. Had there been a greater defender presence, we would not have got so many.

Troops involved were Gest, A Million Voices, Scooby-Doo, Federation Republic, and Venico the Rider. All raids were commanded by General Halcones, who gave out targets and times.

The following regions fell victim:

Magicka
Mile Highlands
Sev Space
Furry Pound Alliance
Josesa
Montagris
Intelligent Discussion II
Middle Earth
Axis of Beecher
Warzone Asia
Heckmondwike
Federalist Europe Alliance
United Supreme Dictators
Light My Fire
Union of Scandinavian Emirates
Iraq
Phusis
The Continent of Agonartha
Democratica
TWP
TNP
Undertow
League of Righteousness
Bellatrixia
Nylarus
The Union of Bacon Baconist Republic
Marxism

Prepare for the next wave, as The Black Riders keep going up and up and up!

Nice job. Even if I think you guys shouldn't invade other regions, I always find it entertaining to watch you guys when you do your raids. Good job on dealing with the added varience. I was surprised how many split-second updates you pulled off.

"The Union of Baconist Republic"? So, there isn't any bacon left in this poor region, I suppose? You guys are truly evil :p .
"Send forth all legions! Do not stop the attack until the city is taken! Slay them all!"
>Can I invade other people's regions?

Yes. The practice of "region crashing," where a group of nations all move to a region with the aim of seizing the WA Delegate position, is part of the game. Certain groups within NationStates are particularly adroit at this, and can attack very quickly.
>Once I've taken over a region, can I eject everyone else?

You can try. Invader Delegates tend to have very little Regional Influence, which makes ejecting long-time residents difficult. But Delegates can be as kind, generous, evil, or despotic as they wish. It's up to regional residents to elect good Delegates.

In actual fact, I am a vegetarian, so I certainly wouldn't be helping myself to any bacon. Maybe we are targeting the carnivores now? :P

Wait.. I'm confused... We're we supposed to be stunned by your tagging skills? I mean... the attitude at the office is more like "Eh... they're at it again guys"

Could you perhaps send us a memo next time so we know that we need to be stunned? :P

Well, for some very bizarre reason, you just sat back and watched. I say that's being stunned. Being still is a sign of being stunned/shocked. Think of animals when crossing a road in the dark and seeing a car's headlights.....

It's not like we could do much with the 1-2 people that we're on at update.
It was much less being stunned, and much more that fact that we had no troops on.

It's not like your jumping was really that impressive. Do I even need to ask what happened in Whitereach. Jump a few minutes late for comedic effect?

Considering the fact that I've never found tagging that impressive... I don't think I will, unless you 1-team 100 regions in one update or something like that.

No, there's plenty of ways to impress people. Throwing your WFE onto 30 regions a night isn't one of them.

Perhaps a nice infiltration? At least those are fun to watch, and impressive when succeed.

It's amazing how people think they can rewrite history and no one will call them on it. So you were never impressed with tag raiding and yet you self proclaimed yourself a tag raiding MVP, for being point and not actually calculating the times yourself. The truth is that you don't have any Gameplay values. You're like a reed in the wind, you'll move in whatever direction the wind blows. It's fine to have no values but to express them with such swagger is impressive.

Really? I was watching their progression through the update and there were several updates where you had at about 7 or 8 seconds to move and endorse. In fact, I would say that at least half of them had 4 second windows where you could have acted. There were also a few delegates with 2 or 3 endorsements already on them; enough that you could have defended them with just 2 defenders.

Very true Galiantus. I do not know who was responsible in their organisation for making the decision to stand back.

It is very nice that some, like yourself, watch us through update. We must put on quite a spectacle.

I wasn't on that update, but when we don't have enough people to defend, we mean we don't have enough people to defend. We still watch and would prepare if we did have some people in case there was a native delegate to endorse. There was no decision to "stand down," there was just not enough people on to make an attempt.

And there is no spectacle to watch, just some lonely WAs moving in and out through update. Do not kid yourselves that it is anything special.

It can be boring at times. What the spectical I get a kick out of is that all you guys are really doing is using other region's WFE's to advertise your region. You march in, put put a flag, and drop your weapons, just like that; as a general rule, no real damage. You are simply advertising your region. Now what really bothered the heck out of me is when you invaded Ether. Glass Gallows was not too happy about that. I really don't like it when you guys make massive attacks on regions like Hippiedom, either, because that's when real damage occurs to regions. Fortunately, those are rare.

At any rate, this whole R/D game is kinda like watching football for me. You see, you guys fight, but hardly anything ever comes out of it. You have the forces to make real changes, but you never utilize that. Both Raiders and Defenders hardly ever make a significant change in world events anymore. If you want something to aim for, I would point to the time Antifa invaded GGR. Now THAT was cool!

So yes, you guys are fun to watch - Sometimes! :D

Saturday 20th October 4AM - 5AM GMT

And another update comes with yet more captures by The Black Riders, this time a total of 23 regions became victim. Many were taken with split-second timings, causing the defenders to sit it out for the whole update. They could have easily stopped some of the raids, yet for some unknown reason they decided it wasn't worth defending those regions. I put it to their commanders to answer to that one.

Troops involved were Vazeckta, Twin Equine and Koth II, with all raids being commanded by General Halcones. While the update raiding proceeded, The Black Riders continued to hold onto Mile Highlands, despite natives crying for defender intervention.

The following regions fell victim:

Magicka
Union Democratic National Socialism
Fritzergalds Retirement Center
LOL DOOMED
The Heights of Azure
The Not So United Nations
Portugalia
TEP
Bucketheadland
Love And Tolerance
White Green
Skrufforian Peninsula
The Islamic Republic of Iran
Genosha
Tzardom of Kazakhstan
Nukeland
The Pangaea
Dragonarius
The Band Regions
Allimory
CPE
PMOI
The Syndicate System

The Black Riders yet again demonstrate their tremendous ability at handling the update, leaving defenders stunned. This is nothing yet though, just hold your breath for what's coming right round the corner....

Newsflash: when defenders don't show up, it's never a "sod it I can't be bothered" as your post implies. Especially if your timings were as short as you're making out, by the time they've spotted it you've got the region and they don't then move. Or there's not enough puppets, or they're distracted by something else, could be any number of things.

Get your facts right, rather than just badmouthing defenders because you can.

Indeed, there were some cases where they had no chance. However, the fact remains that there were a number of raids where they could have stopped us - they had adequate time. Just because a fraction of the raids are split-second, it doesn't mean they can't stop any of them.

Now, please get your facts right before making such allegations.
