This was an interesting! You wanted slavic: I've chosen to model the flag on the Czech flag as most of the other slavic flags are simple tricolours (note: most distinguishing feature of slavic flags is the use of the 'pan-slavic colours' - red, white and blue). For 'American' I figured you obviously meant the usa flag, so I have tried to combine the Czech and US flags together, with the constraint of only using Blue and White. Let me know what you think! The flag is made in Illustrator so literally anything can be changed if you like.

Specifics: I'd like a black background, with the black and white radiation logo in the center. I would like a hollow, gray diamond [like this but a diamond shape], around, but not touching the logo, with "010010110110111001101111011101110110110001100101011001000110011101100101" written inside the diamond.
Preferred Image Size: No preferred size

The gray diamond was a little confusing, I wasn't sure if you wanted them circuling the radiation symbol or if you wanted the radiation symbol inside the hollowed triangle. Either way, your flag was a very easy request so it didn't take me 5 minutes to mock up both for you. Check them out, let me know if you would like a different colour of grey, a different style of diamond, if you would like the black on the radition symbol to be transparent (so you can see the 0010100 behind), anything is possible and probably relatively easy.

There are no other real themes. The nation is based off of Philip Reeves' Mortal Engines series, so it's basically a moving city. I haven't managed to come up with any other real themes yet, but if you've read the books, you'll be able to work something out from that.

I was thinking a tricolour, with an emblem based on engines, yeah. If possible, I would like grunge on it, but that's not needed if you don't have time to.

Unfortunately I haven't read the series but I'll do a google search to get some ideas!

Tricolour - Not a problem, do you have colours in mind?
Emblem based on engines - Shouldn't be too difficult (I hope!)
Grunge - Takes literally a minute to add all those effects so it is never any trouble!

Hey Raven, your flag is a lot smaller than I would usually do because I struggled to keep the HiRes at large image sizes. But I have managed to keep perfect resolution for the default size of NS - therefore, this flag should fit perfectly on NS and look good! Any problems let me know mate, sorry it took so long!

Once again, sorry for the delay been really busy this weekend! I think this is what you were after? I took the curved lines from the cimmeria flag and replaced the logo on that flag with the one you provided. Any problems please let me know!

Here is an update on my thinking so you can keep track, veto anything or offer any suggestions. This is in no way what your final flag will look like .. I'm working on the emblem right now and these are my first thoughts on the project.

Found a cool engine that if I remove the shine from, or add shine to the gears, would fit well together. Gears .. obviously needed for any sort of steam/diesel punk theme. and the font up there is just me testing a few things - I have tried to get as close the the phillip reeves font as possible so far this is my best attempt. If you know where the font is then I could use that if I need to add any text to the emblem. If you have any more suggestions on what to incorporate let me know. I was thinking of putting the engine inside the large gear, then maybe surrounding the big gear with smaller gears? Then maybe writing Urbis Tractus onto the big gear so that it would curve with the edges? Then a grungey looking tricolour horizontal, colours: reds browns dirty yellows?

It does sound a good idea, my one preference would be for it to have no text on it. Text on a flag annoys me, for some strange, strange reason .

Hey Moriskov, I've come up with this let me know what you think! I have remade the flag entirely but tried to maintain the same colours you used before. It was made in illustrator so any changes you would like should be very quick and easy to make, can also be resized to any size you like. Grunge was not a problem either. Anything is possible .. (well not really but this is to a degree!).. Need a little more info though to continue I think. Here's a mock up of what I can do when it comes to changing the colours of the bird. I can only change the colours across the entire .png because to change colours individually would be almost impossible due to the complexity of the picture (it would ruin the high definition and make it look.. well.. effing awful). So here it is re-coloured Red and Crimson:

As you can see I have changed the blue to red and I think this is as good as I can turn the white to black without ruining the whole contrast of the picture.

For the rest of the flag:
Would you like this image in the centre? If so, what would you like the background colour to be? Or did you want two horizontal/vertical bands of black and crimson?
The purple tribal shouldnt be too difficult but the possibilities are endless! Go to google, type in 'tribal border' and find a border, or style, you like and send me the link. In most cases recolouring and stretching it around the flag shouldn't be too difficult. If it is, at least I know what sort of thing your after.

Sorry for the essay, your flag isn't really that complicated so you shouldn't have to wait too long mate.
