Anyone Interested in Joining Region Reapers?

Postby The Gray Land » Sun Apr 15, 2012 12:28 pm

So I had an idea a while ago when I saw my old, old region Alteran Empire. The region, like a significant amount of regions in the world, is dead. But what should be done about that? I felt an urge to get rid of it, but I was distracted by something else, and forgot about it.

And then, about a week ago, I think, I saw a featured region that was also dead, and I got an idea.

So here's the idea:

> I've created a region called Region Reapers
> The purpose of the region is to "raid" a dead region
> Once the dead region is "raided", we take over the delegate position and kick out any straggling nations that are still there.
> The region is refounded.
> The founder leaves the region, or stays there and locks it down.
> The region dies, and goes... to a better place.

So anyone feel like helping me out?

I really hope not.

Some people enjoy being in sleeping regions, have you ever thought of that?

Then those regions don't get reaped.

Nothing new...Also, its something which you will likely get bored of very very quickly, as well as finding a lot of opposition to it in defender camps.

In summary - really not worth it.

Why would defenders be against destroying regions that no one uses?

Sounds like a more aggressive version of The New Tao Order.

Lol, it's a shame that TRR has always been defender, that would be brilliant :p

To the OP, if you just want to kill off dying regions, why bother refounding them after they die? :?

Matter of principle.

But the thing is someone will be using the region otherwise it would have ceased to exist on its own accord. If there is still a nation living there, then they obviously want to be there rather than in another region. They may not be particularly active in game, they may only log in once every 60 days, but they obviously want to remain there.

So in that mindset why should they be forced to leave a region they are happy to stay in, just because someone comes along and decides that in their view it should not exist any longer?

I kept a puppet in a one man region for many years (up until recently actually) and the reason i did that was because it was my original region - i would not have liked to have woken up one day and seen myself sitting in TRR and the region no longer existing just because someone with a superiority complex thought it best to boot me out for 'the greater good' or some other claptrap.
