Yep, more or less. The alternative was salus - "safety," but also "health." (Or compositum, which basically means anything "settled.")

Incolumitas means "good condition, soundness, safety." It comes from an adjective meaning "uninjured" or "safe and sound."

Heh. No. There is no direct translation that would get that meaning across to a native Latin speaker, because you are dealing with an English idiom. I've seen it translated as ascendo tuum (talking to a single individual), but that isn't exactly classical Latin.
