I don't know what your original actually means but I'll give it a try.
"In hyracibus mellis fidimus"
"Hyrax" means "rock badger" but that shouldn't matter too much.
You can add "nos" if you wish to stress that it's specifically you who trust in honey badgers.

Well, i know that the latin name for Honey Badger is Mellivora capensis, so I'll use your version and substitute it for the "rock Badger" part. thanks!

Interesting. Im trying to convey a strong nationalistic theme, so that should work nicely thank you.

You should have given us your current one. I had to search a bit but I found it.
"Ut Supra, Ut Infra! Lux Ex Libris Deo Et Ex Libris Scientia!"
This means "As Above, As Below! Light From Books For/With God and From Books With Science!" or even "... Light And Science From Books Of God From Books Of Science!" It should be:
"Ut Supra, Ut Infra! Lux Ex Libris Dei Librisque Scientiae!" or a little shorter "... Lux Ex Libris Dei Scientiaque!"
You can change the word order of the second sentence as you see fit. A special order would be "...Dei Libris Librisque Scientiae" and that both reversed and with the words of each half switched around which would indicate an opposition between the books of science and those of God. You can double the "Ex" if you wish and of course you can also use "Et" or "Atque" in stead of "-que". though you must position them before the word instead of attaching them.
