Region Update

Postby Bobby27 » Mon Dec 26, 2011 12:02 pm

How do you know when a region updates? Is there a specific page or link I have to click to show me the times? Help me! All answers appreciated.

I think it's at 12:00 A.M., but I'm not positive.

I have recently changed some political opinions, so my "pro and against" thing is still in the works.

Well they all update at or past 12:00, some at 12:27, others at 12:51. I know this, but I think I remember hearing about a way to find the actual time.

I know there are some software that can pinpoint the exact time but I'll give yiu an approximate way. Find a member of that region, and right after you think the region updated (you may have to watch the region to see this), go to one of the nations, and look at the "following new legislation in". There will be a time in that sentence. Subtract that time from the time it currently is and you have a rough guess for the update time.

Unnecessary. Don't bump threads in Gameplay unless at least 24 hours have passed since the previous post.

The updates begins at roughly 12 AM and 12PM EST. The regions update in a particular order, with each region updating after the one before it is finished. There are numerous factors that determine a given regions update time, and may differ from update to update. Such factors include server speed, nation distribution, new regions being created, old regions dying, etc.

You have the flag thief to blame for that.

Issues go through at a region's update (as do a few other things, but issues are the main). You can find past update times by finding a nation in the region with a recent issue. It won't tell you when exactly the region will update in the future, and regions may differ slightly between the major and minor updates, but it'll give you a decent estimate.

1. Find a nation with a recent issue (at the update you're interested in)
2. Dossier it
3. Find it in your dossier
4. Click the blue RSS feed button
5. Look for the time
6. Magic

Firefox will give you the hour and minute; Opera will give you hour, minute, and second; Chrome will give you hour, minute, and second, but buried in code; why would you use IE; Safari and others I don't know.
