Francos Spain was a former Delegate of The Pacific and the founder of the New Pacific Order, the region's current government regime. They couped the region on August 28th, 2003 and immediately banjected a lot of nations, so much that it sparked a massive outrage and moderation had to intervene saying that their actions were perfectly legal. They tried to coup a couple of other GCRs too, including The South Pacific (where they ran unendorsement campaigns against the then-Delegate LadyRebels) and The North Pacific (where they moved in during a coup and tried to endoswap their way to the delegacy during the chaos, but ultimately failed).

Following the resolution of the aforementioned TNP coup, Francos Spain was banjected out of the region by Ballotonia, which triggered a not-so nice meltdown resulting in them permanently leaving the game. They would come back for a day in 2013 on the occasion of NPO's 10th anniversary, but didn’t stick around.

They're famous for executing arguably the most successful and famous coup in the history of NS, as well as the...interesting ideology they and their followers (Poskrebyshev, Unknown, Mammothistan, Blackadder etc.) preached. Unibot's got a pretty detailed biography of them hanging around.

A few days later, he started banning nations and later resigned from the Delegacy citing Francos "double-crossing" him, but instead the Delegacy got seized by Great Bight/Mammothistan who was still from the New Pacific Order.

Great Bight then got mistakenly ejected from the UN by mods so some people, Francos Spain included, tried to seize the Delegacy, until mods reversed Great Bight's ejection from the UN. Francos Spain still kept on tarting and attempting to seize the Delegacy until... yep, ADN person Free4All/Ballotonia/Better Times led a liberation operation and got the Delegacy.

It's going to greatly depend on what sphere of the world you're looking at, but I feel like 2007 — 2012 was something of a golden age with everything fundamentally shifting with the introduction of API scripts//stamps in 2012.

What was the largest raid/liberation by pure numbers?

The largest raid goes to the recent Genua raid, with over 24 different military organizations and over 120 updaters joining in to burn the fascist region to the ground after the mods purged all the Nazis out of the site and DEATed the region's founder Numerous Currenciess. It was led by now-moderator Mallorea & Riva, Xoriet, Nakari, Roavin, Vippertooth33 and others I can't remember. I can testify that the VC was amazing during that update

The largest liberation goes to the Puppetmaster liberation of The North Pacific back in 2004. Led by game admin Ballotonia (who was a high-ranking member of a defender alliance called GLA back then) and coordinated by Ananke and moderator Crazy Girl (both of them were leaders of the ADN, the biggest defender alliance of its time), it was set up in opposition to Great Bight'/Mammothistan's coup of the region and saw over 180 updaters participating in it. It's notable for using a tech thingy to pre-endorse the delegate before moving into the region and being the event that forced Fracos Spain, the founder of the NPO and who backed the coup, to ragequit the game.

Albion thrived, in part, thanks to capitalizing on both roleplay and gameplay. Over time, their roleplay half became more active and really evolved into the standout attribute of the region. To that end, they tried to "withdraw" from gameplay (ala The Lexicon) to simply be a social/roleplay region, but it very much didn't work out.

*My perspective here is biased and I'm sure someone who was actually in Albion would explain it differently/maybe more accurately
