What’s the history of Gypsy Lands? I, and other members of the region, are trying to write up a regional history dispatch. The founder knows some stuff, but not everything, and hopefully all your game players can help us find out our regions history / past delegates / etc.

Does anyone have any information regarding the period of the first group of TNP delegates from February 2003 starting with Mikestonia to the end of Treenudity's delegacy in September 2003? A particular focus on Nastic, United Individuals, and Treenudity would be tremendously helpful. This dispatch provides much of the timekeeping information, but the specifics are what I am after. Thanks in advance!

Edit: in forum thread form, viewtopic.php?f=12&t=432809. These are the most comprehensive retrospectives that I can find, though perhaps someone better informed can dispute me on the credibility/reliability of the sources.

The thread seems to mostly be about GP history, not RP history, that’s the only explanation I can think of.

Is there any story to the region New Zealand? Specifically, who runs that region?

General question for everyone here - who is the most important player in your region's history to have never served as head of state or head of government?

For TSP, at least regarding the past half decade, it's probably United States of Vietnam, who has been an incredibly important force within SPSF and also is the mastermind and technical wizard behind SWAN (TSP's WA program) and TSP's automated dispatch system.

Probably New Makasta or Kanjuura. I went through a handful of other names in my head but realized they were pretty much all at least head of government at some point.

Definitely Morover, though Phastia and The Siegbaldian Empire are close contenders.

For TNP (most of where I've spent my time on this nation in ways I care to remember), this is honestly a really tough question if for no other reason than most of the people who've done exceptionally well on the way up tend to attain high office. As close to a "knock it out of the park" of an answer as r3n or Eras or GBM or Elu would be, they don't fit your criteria. But nonetheless I'll try.

There really is only one name that springs to mind: Sil Dorsett. Sit has actually been involved in the Executive. They've been Minister of World Assembly Affairs and Minister of Foreign Affairs (coincidentally both jobs I've also done) and, at least at the former, were appraised to be very, very good at their job. They've been a fixture in our RP scene in ways that are unusual for most people involved in the Executive (mind, we've had two people serve as Delegate in recent memory who are primarily RPers in Prydania and MJ, but it's still unusual). Sit is also responsible for a good portion of our non-r3n tech and, given his burgeoning contributions as part of the bid to replace r3n's tech, he figures to have a really important role in the region as long as he wants it.

Now, granted, I think this comes with the caveat that any number of other people could have been chosen. Cretox State probably most notably and people like a Dreadton or a Kaschovia besides. However, I think Sil probably has had the most lasting impact on the region in the biggest possible way for someone who has never served as head of state or government.

As for the Pacific (NPO), I don't think there's any question it's Pergamon. Reviled by many, loved by others, but fundamentally someone who changed the way the NPO approached the game (at least in the sense of seeing it through the first Lazarene crisis before his spectacular--and I feel he wouldn't begrudge me calling it that--fall from grace). He may never have been Emperor but he was practically such and as the Emperor combine the positions of head of state and government, Pergamon could never be said to have de facto held either.

For The North Pacific it's Crushing our Enemies, with Praetor a fairly distant second. Sil Dorsett a good shout for a more recent name.

I'll be honest I didn't know much about the totality of CoE's contributions, so perhaps listen to MJ. :P

Crazy girl would be the most obvious answer for The Rejected Realms. As root admin and RRA leader she could easily be considered as important as Kandarin in the 2003-2011 period. She was also very influential in some key turning moments of the region, including the transition to a constitutional democracy.

If we're limiting ourselves to more recent years there isn't a single outstanding name (especially if we place a lot of weight behind the word "important"), although Nequedum and Manson are two people who are recognisable, have been active in elected office, and have narrowly missed on becoming Delegates.

I actually did try to ask ChatGPT about the correlation between names of regions and the time at which they update. Needless to say I got nothing interesting.
