What was the 11st forum thread?

There have been three "first forum threads". One on the original, long dead forums. One when we moved to Jolt. One when we abandoned that pain-in-the-ass Jolt.

While I obviously can't link to the two dead forums, I'm pretty sure I can give you the gist of the contents of all three:

I can tell you exactly what the first thread on these forums was.

It was a phpbb example thread in a forum labelled 'my first forum.' It was deleted quickly after the software was installed, like every single other phpbb forum in the world. Also, [violet] wondered why the hell they have that installed by default as it is stupid, like every other phpbb admin in the world.

Wz codgers clowns (clearly the same player as WZ Codgers Powertools and Scrooger Codger) posts in the region six hours prior to the raid. A self-confessed Gameplayer, months later they post that "Raiding Christmas in July isn't as cool doing it on Christmas". This could simply be a nod of respect to the raiders, or may indicate that they were also in the raiding party. Cormac stark believed they were one of the raiders, saying later: "Scrooger Codger...once led a raid of the region". Judging from conversation on the RMB, it seems likely that Communist Eraser was Codger’s puppet.

Pollaetorian must have had a puppet in this raid.

The 'Repeal 'Liberate Christmas'' attempt by New Brussels came verrry close to quorum after repeated submissions, reaching more than 90 approvals on what turned out to be the penultimate try, but was then thwarted by a de-approval TG campaign that I carried out -- using Bears of the North Pole -- which meant that on the next try it never even broke past 30... at which point its author gave up. I did wonder! Thanks for clarifying, guys. And thanks for the detail on New Brussels. I'll update the dispatch at some point.
I'm glad people have been enjoying reading it. It was fun to write. I think I most enjoyed doing the detective work, trying to work out what happened before NS records begin in 2009.

I'm not that old of a player by far, but they're called "Issues" on the new page as far back as June 2003 (and like four more times in July).

A phrase used to say (your nation) has encountered a new dilemna or your nation is faced with the following dilemnas in when you are opening up the issues section or an issue.

National "mottos" are called "slogans" in the Game Mod's Lair. The URL for the WA is https://www.nationstates.net/page=un. I think it's just that the admins sometimes change things around before taking them public, and it's just too much to bother with fixing all the internal stuff.

Raiding in NS started right around 2003. There was a group of people, who we call the Farkers, that began raiding regions for the fun of it. They're called the Farkers because they came to NS from a website called Farkers.net or something like that.

By my knowledge, the mods have stated that both Max & [v] are at minimum aware of what's going on in NS, and regularly look through the logs of moderator actions.
And Lamoni is the newest mod

We hear from the boss man himself at least weekly, sometimes more frequently when his schedule permits. Pretty sure [v] talks to him almost daily.
