I don't. The NS "Tax" statistic only measures income tax, not VAT etc. You get the same effect by abolishing VAT. (And this looks more like a GI? question, but regardless...)

MSN is nice, but I miss using the javascript embedded chat on 10KI's forum from back in the day. If you want to know if someone is an OG, just type *meow* in a chat and see how they react.

My fondest memory of IRC is just how invincible it was. NOTHING could being working on your computer - your internet could be completely FUCKED - and IRC would still work. Your screen could be a blue screen of death and IRC would still chug along like the little train that could. It was an unstoppable, infinitely reliable force of pre-mobile technology that not even dial-up could screw up. It was butt ugly but it did the job. I had a horrible internet connection - I used to have to beat the satellite with a snow-shovel to get it working again every half an hour while spotting - but IRC continued to work when everything else would bug up with DNS errors.

That's true. But those were usually pretty rare. I stand by statement, IRC was bulletproof. It took absolutely everything my crappy dorm internet threw at it. I was burning a hole into my modem spotting. BACK IN THE DAYS OF FOUR HOUR UPDATES. *RATTLES HIS CANE AT THE YOUNGLINGS*

The worst part of four hour updates was that Halc or whoever would tart their puppets up, set a clock, go to bed, wake up four hours later, and move - and because update was so damn buggy they'd move late and miss their target. So you'd have spent all bloody update watching your dossier, F5'ing for four hours - for absolutely no reason at all.

Y'all want to repeal their condemnations over Predator. I'd burn the condemnations into their chests with a hot iron. GRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

I remember when bash.org's stupid IRC logs were my daily dosage of funny, before a site that advertised itself as "A file transfer site for videos!" ended up replacing it for me. Some place called YouTube.

I'm not supposed to feel this old yet!
