What I literally did:
  • "Hmmm... I think I'll go on challenge mode today"
  • Find random nations that match my new level, rather than my old one
  • Notice Schlemeils as one of the nations. Honestly never heard of them before, so click nation link
  • Notice that Schlemeils was WAD of Gatesville for a day in the activity section
  • Report in Neutral Ground. Current discussion ensues.

That does not answer my question. If knowledge is unknown, can it even be knowledge.

And if one looks throughout the history of our country and other free countries, it is the latter category that tend to be the difficult ones."

Sure it can. The knowledge was obviously known to Tinhampton, but unknown to the rest of us. :!: Now whether or not this knowledge was useful in any way is debatable at best. Honestly Gatesville hasn't even been remotely relevant since Durk hung up his magical coup cape.

Heyo - gonna copypaste a post I made in a few discords, because it may well be relevant to folks here.

>>Hey folks! if you host anything on Photobucket, it's now no longer visible on any other sites and shows an ad instead. Photobucket wants free/low-cost members to now pay $400 a year to let their images be seen on other sites, and has replaced all images with an ad saying so, with no warning to users. Your factbooks, forum signatures, etc may have broken because of this if you use photobucket! Consider donwloading all your images and pain-in-the-ass rehosting them elsewhere like Imgur or Flikr or something and then fixing all your links, and dumb as having to do that is.<<

Pass it on if you don't mind - I know a lot of NS is still using PB. Lotta broken factbooks, and since PB gave *no* notice to users, they may not even know.

Worthy of a global sticky in my opinion. This is the third case of image hosting companies stabbing users on the back, with the first major case being TinyPic’s recycling links scandal, and the second being when Imageshack replaced images with an ad for an app!

Slight offense, but if you're using Photobucket in the year 2017 you deserve what you get.

Many people who used something years ago tend not to go through the hassle of a switch until a catalyst prods it. This is a particularly harsh catylist for sure, but point is that there are plenty of people here who used PB the better part of a decade ago for their image hosting and never bothered to switch because...it was what they used, had an account for, and were familiar with.

Even among those who have switched since, many did not go through the trouble of *re-hosting* all their old images elsewhere -lay would just begin hosting new images elsewhere. Their old stuff is still breaking now.

There was a brief period of time, a couple of years at most, where it was actually the best of the commonly used image hosting sites. It sounds absurd now, but remember; there was a time when Jolt was considered a good place to host a forum.

I use a domain that I purchased to host my images. True, it's not the cheapest option (about $125 a year for everything) and there is more work involved but I always have control over what happens to my images.

Banjecting long-time dedicated members of your community when they haven't broken any laws is really sad. Way to go, TWP *thumbs up*

Have fun with Empire, guys! This is why you don't let them anywhere near your regions.

Here's TWP's delegate:

From The Office of the Delegate

Ladies and Gentlemen, today I would like to thank The It Was 20 Years Ago Today of Bhang Bhang Duc, The OCD Bicyclist of Wickedly evil people, The ElderGrump of Yy4u, and The Is this for Real Mate of Elegarth for their service to the region. These individuals have been leaders in the region for much of the last decade. Their work and effort has shaped this region into what it is today.

Over my time as Delegate I have observed our region as well as many of our fellow GCR’s, friends and allies. My conclusion is that it was time for a change in our Guardians. This change will allow younger nations opportunities to prove themselves and step up in our meritocracy and show that they are worthy of leadership in the region.

Once again I want to thank our outgoing Guardians for their service for over a decade to the region. Furthermore, WA nations of The West Pacific; please help them get below the endorsement cap by unendorsing them immediately.

If you have any further questions about this or about opportunities in the region, please telegram me.

We are business as usual.

Hail TWP!

The Doesn't Suffer Fools Lightly of Big Bad Badger

How do Neenee (5 years) and Mediobogdum (4 years) count as "young nations"? :P What else do they have in common, I wonder...
