Cora II wrote:Delay in RO authorization would cut team play aspect (team tags made by ROs authorized by WAD) out from prospects. I see that bad thing.

Removing loophole that makes recent change of mechanics almost meaningless (few secs delay per hit) should be blocked in way it won't ruin the use of ROs from taggers/detaggers. My solution suggestion for that here: viewtopic.php?p=26779918#p26779918

Current situation seems to me interrim phase of the game's development. Loophole can be used meanwhile, but its not all about quantity of hits, its also about quality of R/D. :)

There are two fundamental problems with that:
1. You would have to wait 26 hours before tagging the regions, ergo before releasing a report
2. A defender team could come into the region within those 26 hours and remove you from the officer list, and you would be helpless in stopping them

My post about using the ROs was more satirical, though, since i expect the loophole won't survive into the next month. I also don't see the grand importance in withdrawing embassies, if you're running on low time. It serves no purpose whatsoever.

Kleo, It's incredibly fun tag in teams straight a way after a hit.

We just demolished few hundred embassies in 9 targets, with minimal use of the loophole. Everybody can be 'pointman' now. Beautiful!

Tried a few detags while still WA today. The quicker the RO-loophole is gone the better. Speed-detagging is fun :P

Enjoy it while it lasts. I'm preparing room for the invasion/defender minigame in my "favorite game modifications" graveyard.

Hey, you all asked for changes in Gameplay to revive it. If you go cry to the admins to do something about, and they do it, well, what would you expect? Gameplay can only be revived with new ideas from those who engage in it, and a steady supply of new players, with the community adapting to the occasional plot twists the admin throw at it (those that can't adapt fade away, and a new organization rises to replace them). Bottom line: If you want something done, you've gotta do it yourself. It saddens me to see new regions now feel an obligation to choose a fixed alignment and act like the older regions politically and diplomatically in order to be accepted (If I were online more often, I'd attempt to fix this, but alas, I don't have the time).

I don't know about that. What I typically refer to as "noob" raider or defender groups due to their lack of technique tend to not emulate older raider and defender groups - regardless of the threat of not being accepted as anything past an occasional endorsement. They're rather spirited in their actions all things considered.

And seeing as Cora (raider/tagger) and Ravania (defender/detagger) seem to actually enjoy the challenge of the changes, my arguments against them were set aside. :P

We need a good ol' fashioned coordinated overthrow of every major political superpower of Gameplay.

That'll be fun.

I don't think there are superpowers at the moment. Great powers, yes, but not superpowers. If there are any superpowers, The North Pacific is probably the only one (not that I advocate their overthrow).

I rather welcome these new changes, actually. I welcome all changes that add something to the game (without taking away anything substantial), even though 9/10 times these changes are skewed to give Defenders and Natives the biggest advantage.

Probably. I particularly like this quote because it has been interpreted, transliterated, and/or altered over time to have several different meanings and interpretations, with different translations and variations depending on the target language and who was interpreting it. Essentially, I made it my quote/national motto, and left everyone else to interpret what it means/what I meant by it.

That is to say, the quote itself hasn't changed much, just the philosophy and ideas around it. I eventually plan to build my own NS philosophy around it, however I doubt I'll ever get around to it.

To be accurate, UnitedGermanRegions is the one that 'took down' TBR.
I ought to remember, I was the one trying to scrape together a defense against him and his collective of TBR victims.

To be accurate, I emptied it out and removed the presence of "a TBR," whomever led it, to whatever ideals :P I may not have taken down the Raider TBR, but I took down the UGR TBR ;) Close enough to Nephmir's plans for us knights once upon a time to be a little freaky

Just keep that stinking carcass behind locked doors, EWS. It is a toxic, radiating waste now. Huzzah!

Mechanised, post-apocalyptic Hyborian horses from the genetic lineage of that carcass made a new team tagging record of 17 hits. Crom! :P

I never got the idea why we should have off-site forums, when we have in-site forums, dear Syl. :D

I try utilize the forum-side in line with game-side. That folks spend most of their effective game playing time off-sites, is sad thing, mis-fortuned convention of history. As that, why I should follow the pattern?

NationStates itself already provide all means for good gaming experience. In-site.

Cool. Would love to hear your philosophy and will PM you (if you don t mind) and might join your region.

Note:this post does not belong in this thread, I was only discussing something philosophical...I will happily delete it if asked.
Probably irrelevant, I thought you heard of it from one of the pages of Eric Harris Rebdomine website, did you.
