You've got to admit, IRC isn't that bad. There's some cool folks that hang out there. Just stay out of the weirder corners, and we're pretty safe. Plus, without IRC, how would us Miniluvers plot

I think it's time to keep the UDL thread permanently closed and let the new(ish) CoB open a thread. Put down the old history book and start afresh with the hope that some of the past tensions can be put behind them all.

Personally, I think it's a good selling point to get RPers. They seem to buy the Moral Crusade argument. Those folks who are primary Gameplayers, and started in the R/D world? We chuckle and go on our way, unless confronted by moralists. In that case, I imagine them as a sort of Jehovas Witness character, knocking on my door :P

Same as you, mate. Sitting around, occasionally having some fun at the other side's expense, and dreaming of a day when we can all kick puppies in peace.

Though I advise burying the hatchet and ending your feud with Uni first, if you'll listen to reason, that is.

Considering that he's the one making jokes about a 'one night stand' with her still, I think he should be the one to bury it first. Just saying...

Esternial, you don't understand the history between the two of them. It comes from somewhere, and its not just, for them, political.
Never underestimate the power of cynicism, pessimism and negativity to prevent terrible things from happening. Only idealists try to build the future on a mountain of bodies.

The Thing to Remember About NationStates is that it is an almost entirely social game - fundamentally, you have no power beyond your own ability to convince people to go along with your ideas. In that sense, even the most dictatorial region is fundamentally democratic.

Yeah, what Milograd said. NSG has a *lot* of crazyshit. We might have the most for our size, though? Since NSG is HUGE compared to us.

False.

I have seen unfathomable levels of stupid in NSG. From 1000 Cats, to FST, to every other thread the forum produces, to be honest.

I think the worst I ever saw was F7's Night of the Wombar, which I think got F7 briefly shut down, and lead to such fallout as is described here. Please, please don't let us get that far.
