Regional map places for the taking (RPers prefered)

Hello there, I'm Melivorica (the nation), and I'd like you to take a gander at Melivorica (the region)
Now, before you run up to the region carrying a male goose, I should probably specify that I meant you should just look at it (the region, not the goose)

Now, the map of Melivorica, which is too big to post on the site as an image, looks like this.

You'll notice that between the nations, there is a big white area with no named owner.
What if I was to tell you, sir and/or madam, that some of this pristine (fake) real estate could belong to your nation?
Would you be interested?
Would you join the region in order to get it?
Because that's what we'd like you to do.

I think we've given up having preferences by this point, but nations that are interested in RPing would be nice.

I would prefer not to use up space on the map for the colonies of nations outside of the region.
And this is not a colonisation thread, it's a regional recruitment one. Those empty spaces used to belong to other nations, back when the region was well populated. We're trying to fill in the blanks again.

Depends on how far you take it, I think.
We're MT, and on the whole I think most of us prefer to keep things relatively realistic.
I mean, my nation has cow sized crabs living in it's forests, so we do allow some fairly ridiculous breaks from reality, but on the whole those few things are portrayed as normal and everyday, rather than magical.
If you have found a way to use magia (if that just means magic) without being hopelessly godmodish about it, I guess we could take you in, but there's probably other regions more suited to your needs.

More or less as an integrated ancient Magionuclear network of energy pipes running throughout the country with leaks into the land, atmosphere, and water that causes a manifestation of the magical arts. This also causes many different unnatural monstrosities like walking army forests, Giantaga Squidoos, and Draxlys Dracos.

Yeah it might be better suited for another region but for the most part I tend to focus on character RPs and not much of the nat v nat...due to an obvious disregard for any "attainability of numbers." So do you guys have a set Population limit or go by the logarithmic NS population?

We set the region's population at 2.09 billion in it's factbook.
Decided that nations with populations larger than China's trying to RP as healthy modern day western nations with decently organised logistics was a bit ridiculous, and now most of us RP with a population of between 55 and 120 million.

Again, magic might not go down so well with us. Our last run in with magic was a little intrusive towards those who didn't want to accept it as part of the setting.
Respectively, I would suggest another region, but I wont stop you if you really want to move here instead.

You can have a place, since you've joined the region already. No need to reserve anything.

And what RP is this you're talking about?
I hope I haven't given the misconception that joining the region is just a temporary measure as part of an RP.
We're looking for permanent (or people who intend to be permanent) members for our region.

I mean my whole nation RP. While it's nice to sit in a region and have a map, I want my nation to have a decent RP, like history, etc. too.

Nope.

For four reasons.
1. You're using a tiny nation, so a large chunk is out of the question
2. For RPing continuity reasons, we're not adding any new landmasses suddenly rising out of the ocean.
3. Pretend Nazi nations (even parody ones) are on the whole pathetic and unoriginal, and we want no association with them.
4. Our map (and region) is not a dumping ground for puppets.

Nope.

The map itself isn't specifically for an RP, it's the map of the region.
I'm trying to get nations to move to the region, preferably people who will RP.
I think that constitutes regional recruitment, and my gut tells me that starting a similar thread in one of the other forums would lead to suggestions that I take it back here.
